ODLH disagrees.

Why would he say this? And the report here says Martinez is 174...
I dont believe that chavez is bang on 176 neither, Am not buying that BS, We are talking about a fighter who the WBC alway lied for in the past.. Martinez at 174 is also a surprise to me.
Why would Martinez at 174 be surprising? Wasn't he 178 or 176 at the 30 day weigh in for the Williams rematch?
He was, just found it. http://www.boxing news24.com/2010/10/30-day-weigh-in-sergio-martinez-176-paul-williams-162/
Didn't you see the video of Chavez's "training" and he missed 4 days at the gym as well. Why WOULD you believe Chavez Jr is 176?

If this fights called off Chavez is ruined, I'm not a fan of either guy but at least their fighting the best in the division Oscar needs to stfu I like canelo but they got him fighting washed up fighters or fighters 2 divisions smaller
I have concerns for Martinez
Oscar will try and sabotage it. he is a snake!
check out this article about concerns for Martinez,
Chavez tries every dirty trick, cannot be trusted. article at uk.fighthype.com titled UK Mailbag has an interesting opinion on the concerns for Martinez.
why do i have a feeling JCCJ will not come in weight?
he will just pay for the weight penalty and see if martinez will go thru or not
I had not thought about that but now you mention it I wouldn't put it past Chavez hope not though.
Yeah he's 176 but he's dehydrated, while Martinez is about the same size but without cutting weight. On fight night we're going to see the same Chavez Jr weighting more than 180 pounds.
I guess even the Goldenboy himself rather talk about Chavez Jr.-Martinez than his own farce of a show fight.
Oscar knows that his fight is nothing compared to Chavez-Martnez. And seriously even if he knows from inside sources what Chavez Jr weighs, what business is it exactly of his to be spouting it all over the internet?
as a partner with goldenboy, to say that oscar has a financial stake in discrediting this fight is unnecessary
is it possible that the weights are fudged with?
sure. i dont trust the WBC. however, that oscar de la hoya thinks they may be fabricated is of no consequence.
Why on Earth would anyone listen to anything Oscar says about Martinez vs. Chavez?
yea but at the same time even without oscars comment i thought it was strange that chavez weigh about the same as sergio when seeing them face to face chavez looks bigger
Oscar's fuuking idiot. Disregard his ramblings.
Maybe I don't. Maybe I'll wait and see at the weigh in, knowing it's a high possibility Chavez comes in overweight.
But I'm sure as hell never going to listen to anything Oscar says. Especially when he's talking about a fight that will likely take a lot of viewers away from a mismatch his company is putting on the same night.
You guys might be right about Oscar but you can't put it past Chavez Jr and the WBC tho. :lol1:
