Or are you indifferent? Or against?
I think whatever the case the women have proven they can be real draws, even more so than the men so anyone who's against it should probably just STFU at this stage.
Try saying that to Anne wolf. She would destroy both you and your dad at the same time.
You know, when all those "brutal knockout" threads get made, I always forget about this one.
That was a right hand from hell if I have ever seen one, lol. Good lord.....
I respect anyone that has to guts to step into the ring, sparring or fight.
^^^This. I bet Most of the dudes here that diss women boxing haven`t box a single round in their life. We have a lady in our gym that spars with guys all the time and holds her own in fact she has better technique than most of the male fighters lol.
Ann Wolfe is the only Woman that made me somewhat respect Women Boxing for a short period of time, but it is just a TOUGH SALE!
The Olympics was entertaining because London provided A LOT of energy and encouraged the Women so it came off as a fun event to watch on TV, but back in the States the energy will not be the same the crowd will be MUCH SMALLER
I think Katie Taylor and Nicola Adams will continue to get MAJOR Support in their country though, but with Claressa Shields and Marlen Esparza will have their work cut out for them to trying and Sale the sport of Women Boxing in the US, another Olympic Gold for Shields could really help it though, even if Esparza can come back and get gold in Brazil in 2016 that would help Women Boxing in America
I have always respected them, it is tough to get in that ring man or woman. I am still rather indifferent toward it though, but sometimes it can be fun to watch.
it went from Quincy Taylor defending a belt to Martin on the televised undercard. it is what it is, the undercards without women arent any better IMO

I respect it more now, while I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it I'd take an interest if say Nicola Adams or Katie Taylor were fighting on a Carl Froch undercard.
Indifferent mostly, women´s boxing is all about technique.I´m yet to see a brutal and exciting war in a women´s match.
I remember watching an exhibition fight at a local gym where these two girls pretty much circled each other most of the fight. The funny part was that they were a good 6-7 feet apart from each other most of the time. Then one would rush in, they would start beating the crap out of each other, and then they'd go back to circling.
Anyway, I think its good in the sense that women are able to compete in a sport if they choose to. Therefore, they are provided opportunities similar to those of men.
If you would like to see some good fights between women, you should watch the two recent bouts between Ana Maria Torres and Jackie Nava.
No, I believe that women are just not genetically cut out for combat sports...their anatomy, everything is just not right for getting hit...
Neither are men really, but women are simply too fragile...male skull is a lot thicker and denser and look what happens to many....now think women.
But that's me....I'm sure millions will disagree.
