According to a source, WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. missed four days of training this week at the Wild Card Gym because “he didn’t feel like coming in.” Junior finally showed up last night around 8PM and worked late into the night with trainer Freddie Roach. Chavez Jr. is currently preparing for the biggest fight of his life against Sergio Martinez on September 15 in Las Vegas.

Could this be true? After the Rubio fight, wasn't he saying that if he came in the same conditions vs Martinez he would get murdered?
im huge fan of martinez, n i think he will stop him on a tko jr is gona be busted up real bad, but my mexican pride wants jr to pull the upset on everybody
Nothing wrong with rooting for Chavez.....Martinez should be more focused or this fight than any other fight and it should be a war.
Martinez is going to dominate

I have a hard time believing this. It's the biggest fight of his career.
Surprised so many people are taking this info as 100% true. Maybe he had other reasons not to come in for four days? Maybe he was training elsewhere. Maybe this is just total BS and he didnt miss any days.
Well, he said he didn't feel like coming. That doesn't sound like he was elsewhere training. I guess we won't know whether this is true or not. But how can you doubt it when he was involved in a DUI, what? A month before the Rubio fight?
lol Chavez Jr will never be great.
He reminds me of Todd Marinovich in a way. Someone who was just trying to make his dad happy.
he needed to bone his gf's...What are you going to say? he needa bone his chicks..

The fight is 5 weeks out, if he stops his shenanigans right now those 4 days won't have much of an impact come fight night.
Well, the question is, can he? Apparently this is a habit of his...
If you're used to coming in at 190 and not getting tested, I guess you don't need to push yourself that hard.
Or AT ALL...
Remember before the fight vs Rubio he had that DUI and his stamina looked like sh1t by the time the fight was done. The fight is a month out and his over here skipping days.
