Manny losing to Bradley
Khan getting stopped by Garcia
Linares getting TKO by Sergio Thompson
Kayode getting a draw against old @ss Tarver
Helping train the U.S. Olympic team, only to see all but one get eliminated in the 1st round.
It's still a lot of fighters to be training at the same time. Especially if they keep on fighting on the same days. Can he really focus on getting both Rios and Donaire ready if they fight the same day? Training camp is going to be at the same time and I don't think Donaire trains here in Oxnard. How is that even going to work out? It's going to be Donaire's toughest test in a long time and the same can be said for Rios. I think Garcia is starting to take on too many fighters.
Donaire vs Montiel- date 2/19/11
Rios vs Acosta- date 2/26/11
it works. Donaire goes through his weekly routine and Garcia goes up on the weekend to oversee game plan and tactics but during the week he works with Brandon

Not one of these fighters mentioned has an inside game.
Just in/out 1-2 fighters. Depending on athletic ability. Put them in the ring with guys with serious boxing skill, grit or both and things go pear-shaped!
No versatility whatsoever...
Training fighters and staying active probably helps a lot in slowing down the progression of his Parkinson's disease.
I have no doubt about that but there is no question Parkinsons desease is taking a stronger grip on his life.
And don't forget Senchenko getting stoped by Malignaggi. :lol1:
lol.. that was bad too, especially considering paulie was training at his gym before that fight and roach chose senchenko. only for paulie to take his 0 and get his first KO in like a decade.
but garcia is younger and in better health. garcia has other concerns

For reals. He has way too many fighters in his stable.
I'm really worried Robert Garcia is going to be doing something similiar soon. He already has Donaire, Mikey, Maidana, Rios, Pavlik, and now he's training Marquez.
Plus, he works with a lot of young up and coming fighters...

Freddie's health is on a massive decline with the Parkinson's desease getting much worse. You can see that in recent footage. At the back of his mind he must be wondering how long he can hold the pads and train fighters. His key fighters losing is a big blow and with Khan saying that he won't rule out getting another coach that must feel like a body blow. Unless fighters are happy to be trained by his underlings while he watches on his time as a trainer must be coming to an end because that Parkingsons is not going to get better.

Seriously right, just like his favorite son... Im surprised Roach isnt singing, making movies, running for congress, and preaching as well...
yeah
if khan not getting much attention, imagine the other fighters.
all factors considered, Khan was the worst. Roach takes on too many stuff. He needs to focus.
