Let's face it, as boxing fans we witness many ridiculous decisions. Some examples include Williams vs. Lara, Abril vs. Rios, and Pacquiao vs Bradley just to name a few. As boxing fans we know more stupid decisions are coming. So I figured I should just make a thread devoted to bad decisions in boxing.
De La Hoya/Sturm was fuking ridiculous.
Yep, I remember that fight. Didn't Sturm also recently receive a questionable victory via decision? I can't recall who it was he fought.
Williams vs Martinez 1
WTF? That was a close fight.
EDIT : oh you mean that one scorecard that had Williams winning 11 rds to 1. Yeah that was horrid.
The Olympic judging has been horrendous, as usual. There's been at least one indefensible round in every fight, and two or three fighters get robbed every day it seems.
This year, Abril-Rios was the worst decision, but Pacquiao-Bradley was the most baffling and the highest profile.
THe rios one was disgusting, The pac and Bradley one was pretty freaking bad as well. I think im more upset with the rios one because his opponent wont get a shot again, while pacman is so famous that he will defiantly get more shots.
What's been the worst decision of '12 so far?
For me Rios v Abril. For the simple fact that when being generous to Rios I gave him 2 rounds. If someone scored the fight 12 rounds to 0 in favor of Abril I would not have a problem.
I'd also like to say Pacquiao v Bradley, though that's not to do with how I thought the fight went down but how I thought the judges would score the fight. Seen it a few times and still score it 8 rounds to 4 but I expected the Judges to have ridiculous score cards (119-109 o 118-110) but Bradley actually pulled of the win.
