It will happen eventually. It's a guarantee. Too much money for them not to make it at some point. Even if Pac loses his next 2 fights and they wait til both Floyd and Manny are using walkers, it will still rake in ungodly PPV money.
Too bad though -- at this point, the fight solves nothing. The only time it mattered is when they were both in their primes. And they're not anymore. So even if Floyd waxes him it will mean jack sheeyat.
I think Arum will finally make the fight, knowing Manny is most likely done either way next year. Even if he gives Floyd the majority he still makes more $$ with him than any Top Rank fighter, why would he care if Manny loses his last fight?
It would be good for Floyd to take a tune up fight this year, fight Manny in the spring and possibly Sergio Martinez next fall.
whats the reason were not getting the fights we should be getting today? gbp vs tr
before i was skepitical about 50 but i think he will do boxing some good
So is TMT belong to 50cent or joint partnership with floyd? If owned by 50, will he accept the %age deal floyd had with GB? There's going to be loads of squabbles about money within TMT but all the best
Why do people still care about this fight? The time for it to happen is long gone. The hell if I am going to fork over damn near $100 after the BS ride they took boxing fans on in the past 3 1/2" years...
I wouldnt mind seeing this fight but not really as bothered as i used too be should have happened 2010 the fact that the earliest it could be his 2013 is really dissapointing
Bob already played this card with Don King... It's all BS. Bob already has his agenda and Floyd is not on it.
It don't matter who's at the table. If Bob doesn't want the fight, he doesn't make it.
I agree.......just more of the same BS.
Bradley vs Pacquiao is already set up for a trilogy.
Marquez and Pacquiao will fight 10 more times lol.

Mayweather leaving GBP just coincides with Arum's timetable of when HE wanted the fight. It is amazing how this situation played out almost exactly like he wanted. He successfully stalled the fight, changed public perception to think it was Mayweather that was preventing the fight, made millions in the process, and in Pacquiao's final year, he's going to make the fight while cutting out one of his main competitors; him saying "See? It was GBP holding up the fight all along" is like a cherry on top.
Loads of bs here. And I don't understand why they're buying this nonsense. Fear of losing has nothing to do with anything or anyone. The idea that Paqciao losing to Mayweahter would diminish Paq's popularity is complete baloney. Hoya lost fights in his career here and there and fans never thought of boycotting his next fights. Khan got his 2nd humiliating defeat and I could bet that he will remain relatively popular and fans would want to see his next figths again. Why would a promoter stall the biggest fight of this decade?
Good big fight to build up promotinal company and show they can do it, while making serious money..i can see it happening. Brings in new face to big time promotions if successful. Hopefully good fights cause they building a nice stable
Eventually this fight will get made. It's a certainty. And sooner rather than later, too (because these dudes are getting long in the tooth). There's just too much money to be made from it. Stupid money.
It's just unfortunate that when it does (even if it gets done tomorrow) the outcome will solve nothing. We wanted to see them in their primes -- not when they're both on the downsides of their careers.
Arum never wanted the fight... At least until Pacquiao had a foot out of the door (which 2013 is reported to be). The fight didn't make business sense for Arum; his bottom line is and has been of main importance from the beginning.
Are people forgetting that Al Haymon is still Mayweather's advisor/manager?
Are people forgetting that Haymon and Mayweather dictated the terms that were negotiated, and GBP just presented them at the negotiating table?
When is the last time an Arum fighter's fought a Haymon fighter?

You and I both......Whats worst is hearing ESPN call him Fitty lol not Fifty.
lol you're right, nothing worse than hearing those talking heads do that.
yes, we get it you robot, its super funny that Fifty sounds like fiddy. i bet they giggle when the camera goes off.
I had to leave ESPN a while ago because the never played a sport in their life anchors became too much to bear.
Don't believe it.
How was Schaefer and Golden Boy blocking the fight in the first place? They had nothing to do with:
OSDT
The Temporary Stadium on the Vegas Strip
Investors From Singapore and Joe Jackson
The 60/40 Split
Pacquiao's cut that wasn't going to be healed by May 5th
Arum not knowing who to contact from Floyd's camp
Floyd and Arum are the ones that laid the barriers that have prevented this fight from happening. 50 Cent being in the picture changes nothing.
I really really really hope people (and by people I mean promoters, trainers, etc) address 50 as Curtis. Imagining Arum saying "50Cent" is cringe worthy. I mighty vomit hearing Oscar perfectly enunciate "FIFTY".
