Andre Berto to TMT????????

I think there must be more to this that isn't being discussed in the media. TMT must have someone more experienced behind it than 50 and Floyd. I have a hunch that Al Haymon is planning on moving out of the management business and into promoting. He's done it in the music business already, and has said he could take over boxing if he "wanted to". 50 Cent isn't an idiot or anything, but he's not qualified to actually control a company like that. I see him as more of a De La Hoya type of character. An owner that doubles as the "face" of the company, while the boss makes the real business decisions (the way Richard Schaefer does for Golden Boy).

I agree that Floyd would probably never do a free HBO fight anymore, since he's the PPV King, but it would get the other TMT fighters major attention if he did fight someone like Berto on free HBO. I honestly wouldn't even complain, though Berto lost to Ortiz, if Floyd fought Berto in November on HBO for free. Especially if the card had the other TMT fighters on there. I wouldn't either, because that's all Berto would be to Floyd. A tune up. Might take Floyd a couple of rounds to figure his best mode of attack and study Berto, but he'd take him to school and possibly stop him. Pacquiao and Martinez are the only two fighters he hasn't already fought that could trouble Floyd at all IMO. Guerrero, Alvarez, or Berto wouldn't have a chance. Unless his sentence really did affect him physcially, he's still better than them on an off night.

The free HBO part would be the craziest haha. Floyd ever fights again on regular HBO, I'd be shocked. That's why I don't get how they'd sell Mayweather-Berto to the public. Unless maybe Floyd wants mentor and tutor him to take the throne when he leaves, but I have a pretty strong feeling that isn't it. I'm not a Berto fan at all, but it'll be interesting how TMT handles his career if that's the route he goes.

I think the Berto positive test situation is different than the Peterson one. For instance, didn't they conclude that so little of that substance was found in Berto that it was most likely actually a contaminated substance??? I thought that's what I heard. Berto would be another good name to sign to TMT, people need to stop the hate. It's like they want this to fail. Mayweather, Gamboa, Berto, Dirrell, and Dib is a damn good start in under a week.

I don't think he cheated, he got popped with nandrolone which is something no athlete would use to cheat because of how long it stays in the system. He most likely took a contaminated supplement to help heal his bicep injury. I agree. Also, is Berto allowed to talk business with TMT while under contract with dibella?
