Reality of it is, he didn't look as good as he usually does vs. Cotto, albeit he won a well earned decision, but it's normal, you can't be young forever..
Guerrero would be a good tune-up/bragadocio type fight; fresh out of jail beating a dude who can take a punch. I mainly just want Guerrero to get his pay day to support his family, he's a good dude.
Dude it's county jail get real .....smh ..... He was off 19 months and came back and made jmm look like a novice and you expect me to believe 50 days in county jail will allow Robert Guerrero to have any kind of shot?
You're talking like he spent five years in state prison
No I am not I am talking like a 35 year old man who has been able to keep himself finely tuned got put in jail where he can't work out as he wants and can't eat as he wants. So the machine that is Floyd Mayweather could really be messed up and it will take time to sort that out, if he rushes back that is asking for trouble.
Drop offs can be steep and have been caused by lesser issues~
Still chances favor him being fine~ but it is not a sure thing.
i dunno bud
Floyd's gonna need a 'decent' tuneup where he can get some rounds in when he comes back from incarceration
in fact, i can already hear the 24-7 voice telling us about Guerrero's wife all over again
everyone will talk all kinds of crap about the fight...end of the day; 1mil ppv buys
*puke*
Only way I see it happening is if it happens later this year as a tune up. But even then, I can't see it. Maybe I'm just saying it because I really hope it doesn't happen :lol1:
It's true though, I had that worry myself. That 24/7 would jump over the whole back story stuff.
If Guerrero can string some or even one decent win at 147 against one of the top fighters then I wouldn't mind it, as much. But even then, I wouldn't want to see it considering Mayweather only fights once a year.
No. The only way i want to see this fight is if Guerrero were to rack up some wins against Maidana, Alexander, Malignaggi, Berto, etc. Like he would need to have about 3 solid wins like that for me to say "Okay, if Mayweather fought him, it's a good fight".
Guerrero looked solid at times against Aydin, but he looked like crap at times as well. He was pushing far too many punches the 2nd half of that fight.
From spending 50 days in county jail?:lol1:
Ever heard of the straw that breaks the camels back~ Floyd is getting up there for a fighter and while he has been a finely tuned machine that can all unravel real quick and he might not be able to get it back.
He could and should be just fine, but you need to come to grips with his reality and know all goods things will come to an end.
no, not really...
Ghost would get picked apart...might be a stinker
I think a snoozer is definitely on the cards.
I really don't see this fight happening to be honest.
I like Robert, his story is awesome considering his wife healths and all but im gonna keep it real, he just isnt on Floyds level PERIOD...
If he does get that payday ill be happy for him but be really disappointed in Floyd for even taking on this easy work...
3 mths is not going to take anything away that wasnt going away anyway , be good thinking time for him , probably the most clearest thinking he has done , worst could be that he came out and retired , best is he is motivated to show what he is and seal out his career , I hope he comes out and takes Manny , then a crack at a MW crown and then retire undefeated , I dont think Floyd has time for the Guerreros , if Robert could gain enough public calling for it then its a very easy fight for Floyd , doubt it will happen .
I didn't say it was likely, but he is older and decline can be sharp so it is not out of the question either especially if he rushes back to fight at the end of the year to help launch TMT.
I didn't really expect him to fight again this year, but with that new venture while not a sure thing I would say he is more likely to fight. If he fight again this year if not Guerrero it would be someone very similar and the Ghost has been linked with him for a minute so the Ghost would make the most sense.
I would expect Floyd to wreck him though.
It's boxing. Of course he has a chance.
Just not a very good one lol.
He's just lookin' for the big paycheck.
Floyd is the first name anybody mentions after winning a fight.
You guys didn't hear Haye sayin' he could make a 160 cw after the Chisora fight?
Just kidding. ;)

I give Guerrero a 0.01% chance of winning... with that 0.01% being a freak accident like Mayweather abruptly fainting in the middle of the fight for a KO or something.
I would yes but only if jail really took something out of Floyd and then rushing back to make this fight.
IF Floyd is remotely close to who he has been, then the Ghost doesn't stand a chance.

:hitit:
Cause im a truth teller. This is a crazy topic. Next you gone ask if berto has a chance vs sergio martinez. Smh
Guerrero and Mayweather are in the same division, stop it.
