I know, right? No sports on tonight, I'll be chilling at home...was looking forward to seeing Broner fight...
BUT I'm hearing they'll show the undercard anyway? So either way...hope BAD goes on.
Ya apparently Thurman said HBO will show his fight regardless and then hopefully they might show Figuerero who they were planning on showing a delayed highlight anyway
For **** sake i give up this just too painful all i want to do is watch some live boxing

the problem is he will get that vacant shot, but it wont be on hbo and it wont be for any real money. i think thats why hes staying to see whats offered. its quite smart. i think team escobedo handled this situation very well. i wish more boxers would do this when their opponents dont make weight
This is true, but a fourth loss will probably mean the only big fights he could get will be gatekeeper fights on short notice for short money. If Escobedo wins the title, the sky is the limit as long as he can keep making 130.
I agree that it is smart to make sure you're getting their maximum offer before walking away, though. Escobedo was only going to get 180k with the penalty from Broner added. Id say he can make that and more if he wins the title.
However, looks like the fight is on.
Do you think Escobedo will eventually accept?I dont know i just cant see it.Its a pity he didnt do that yesterday we mightnt be having this problem:boxing::boxing:
I think he will, he's gonna get a lot of dough and a loss won't set his career back because everyone knows Broner will have a significant size advantage. Win-win.
They can't promise that. If they could, it would be worth it for Escobedo to take the fight, but if he fights Broner and loses, he loses his ranking as well.
Escobedo should walk and fight for the vacant title.
Yea.... I thought they could deal with the WBO or something... but I don't know shit about the behind the scenes of boxing.
Well, the fight is on... so I'm interested in knowing what Escobedo is getting.
He's in the driver's seat right now he should enjoy it. Meanwhile Broner is sweating bullets because his bank account and reputation are gonna suffer from this.

I really dont know why Vicente does not leave. They must have been negotiating for 2 hours and hes rejecting everything

Demand more money and secure a fight for the vacant belt if he loses

Inquiring boxing fans need to know. With broner's bum a$$ out of the way, they should put some Figueroa on the air & $h1t. He's exciting & that long haired dude.
i would love to see figueroa on HBO
he's a nice puncher. sets himself up well with that power.
