Good but I think Ray Robbinson was a little bit better than Floyd in an era you could get 100 fights a month if you wanted to.
Wow..Ray Robbinson should be a no brainer, an argument can be made for all the others on the list, but SRR gets the #1 spot hands down.
Marlon was a personal friend who I met when he was an amatuer. His trainer and I were the Boxing USA/ABF chairman for the state of Conn. I knew Breland also when he was a little skinny kid fighting out of NYC. Both were kids who trained hard and came into their fights in shape and willing. Both also had some tuff luck in the sport and had a long hard ride to get to their goals. I had fighters on all of Moochies cards at the Hartford Civic Center as he climbed up the ranks. They were good times!!! Ray.
yeah, i'm in jersey so the east coast thing was what first got my attention. Yeah both had some out the ring problems. Sure do miss seeing those quality fights on a sat/sun afternoon.

Sugar Ray
Duran
Ray Leonard
Tommy Hearns
Oscar de LaHoya
PeeWee Whitaker
Tito Trinidad
Manny Pacquiao
Floyd Mayweather
Miquel Cotto
Duran at his best is a Lightweight.
Mayweather at his best is a JuniorWW.
Manny is probably at his best at 126lbs "just a guess".
I'll put Cotto at 140 also because at heavier weights he has NO power!
Theres other Welters that push most of the above off the list.
Basillo. Gavalin, Griffth, Peret, Harrington, Cerdan, Ortega,..........then you go into the 70s and 80s like Curry, Starling, McCrory. Breland and all the other top ten guys from then.
Ray Corso.
I was a big fan of the Magic Man and of Mark Breland.

Cotto is my favorite fighter today, but Manny has to much speed for Cotto with good power. Manny is a bad match up for Cotto!! Styles make fights.
and pac did destroy cotto at ww...
duran didnt have a splendid ww career but his win over leonard was better than anything mayweather has ever done at any weight
How does one win erase mayweather whole resume?
Tito and duran for sure but I seriously dout Sweet pea!!!

at 154 right now manny dont walk through the park with cotto :boxing: theres a reason they fought at a catchweight
I hated the catch weight, but that was to insure the win. Win lose or draw manny in just all bad stylistically for my boy Cotto!!!

Curious question, has cotto ever said anything about trouble making 145 vs Manny?
