IF Khan decides to leave Roach, (slight chance, I believe), would Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain be a suitable trainer for Khan?
Nacho is known for instead of the typical mexican style of boxing, he molds fighters into a counter punching aggressor. (Juan Manuel Marquez, Ricardo Lopez, Rafael Marquez)
Amir Khan has the heart and stamina that mexicans usually have, but not quite the chin.
At least he has great speed and combo punching ability (although, sloppy combos).
He is obviously lacking in defense, and I can see Nacho showing him his ways of finding the right opportunities to counter in combos, ring IQ and head movement.
I still say Adam Booth, he talked about how he been fighting away from home for too long and how he wants to fight back at home again...so Adam Booth to me make a lot of sense then
Khan is friend with David Haye I think so I am sure him and Groves would welcome him to the TEAM but Khan expect to be #1 Priority though
That's an interesting one.
I'd be interested to see what Booth could do with Khan.
Might be a great combination, but Khan wouldn't be number one with Nacho either.
But he would be with Stewart considering wald only fights two times a year at completely different times compared to khan plus steward has no problem heading to Europe so it's a good match
Beristain is a great trainer. If he could get Khan to fight a little more like Finito Lopez then what more can Amir's fans ask for?
There is a language barrier but they could always hire some interpreters.
Juan Manuel Marquez probably wouldn't like the idea though. He nixed the idea of Nacho training Marcos Maidana.
Nacho is probably the best trainer in boxing right now, but I prefer Steward. He'd really get on Amir's case, scream at him if he has to, and emphasize on making Khan fight behind a stick.
What is Stewert going to teach him jab right hold ?

I voted yes just because Nacho is such a great trainer. I am not sure of his ability to speak English well enough for Khan to easily understand him in the middle of a hard fight. How much of a problem would it be with Khan based in England and Nacho based in Mexico City? If Khan can learn some of what he has to teach he would benifit from it.
Even thou I think NACHO is the trainer in the game... NO! Khan would be number two again & won't get all the attention, the language thing will be a big problem as well. I say go with Floyd sr. He can show him how to use his reach & master defense.
it's certainly not a bad idea, but like a few people have said already, there will be a few difficult obstacles to overcome, mainly the language barrier.
I woudln't mind seeing this happen, it'd be interesting to see what Nacho could do with Khan.
He should really get Steward though, I've been saying this for awhile now.
I think Nacho is a top notch trainer, but all wrong for Khan..JMM and Rafael do not have good defenses..They take a great shot and are great counter punchers..Khan needs someone to teach him how to be defensively responsible..I still think Bro Nazim or Stewart are Khans best choices if he wants a new trainer..Maybe even Shields...
No. The language barrier would be tough to overcome. Steward would be the way to go.
Plus, training in Mexico wouldn't be in line with Khans dreams of being a huge star in the US.
