So let's get this right -
Khan has just been knocked out by a puncher, so his management should put him in with another puncher straight after, despite him still having the same defensive vulnerabilities and inability to stick to a gameplan?
Khan needs a few gimme fights to hone some defensive skills before he steps in with a puncher again.
If he gets KO'd twice in a row, and loses his third fight on the trot, it's game over.
It's literally the worst possible time to fight Prescott. Don't ever become a boxing manager, seriously.
I was just making a suggestion. Maybe some of you guys are right and they'll probably be looking for a softer puncher than Prescott. I believe this fight kills two birds with one stone, builds confidence and avenges a loss. Question is, at which weight class will Khan be fighting at when he comes back?
yup, but obviously i was wrong, if you look at what Prescott hit him with, he is still open for that punch, at some point a carbon copy ko will happen
Yep!
Still though, I love Khan fights. My heart is in my mouth the entire time because he is so vulnerable.
He could feasibly be the 140 pound Wladimir Klitschko but his idiocy makes him exciting.
It will get people interested enough to watch him next time out
People will want to watch him regardless.
:?!:Now?? Immediately after sustaining a ko?? Absolutely not.
Yeah, I don't think it's a great idea either.
A fight like a Malignaggi rematch for a world title makes more sense at this point or even a bout with Matthew Hatton or Lamont Peterson (assuming he gets a pity ban).
They need to ease him back in, not throw him in with a brutal KO artist.
sure it makes sense. it's a decent payday for him in england, he gets a chance to avenge a loss & a confidence rebuilding fight. he has lost twice in a row(regardless of peterson's ped use)& needs a couple "softer" touches. this could be a risky fight but prescott hasn't looked great the last coup it's also very marketable because of the history between them.
I disagree, he improved if anything. Everyone knows that he beat McCloskey and Alvarado just tested his stamina what would always be his problem.

Scrambled.. And he still hasnt learnt! That was the same shot Garcia caught him with, Khan tried a 1-2 and didnt get his hands back quick enough and got flattened with the left counter.
lol why? a Win over Prescott does absolutely nothing for Khan at this point in his career. Neither does a loss, for that matter.

It does though. The fact is the fight will sell (mainly because of the first fight), it will get people interested enough to watch him next time out, and he gets a chance to avenge a loss. Its the perfect ticket to get his name back on the map and the British media will go mental for him again if he wins, "King Khan is back" and we start the merry go round all over again waiting for the next inevitable brutal KO.
Why not, for his comeback fight in U.S on some Golden Boy PPV undercard? After his comeback fight in U.K, what could be against Derren Hamilton or Denis Shafikov depending how carreful they want to be with him, he could make 3 straight rematches then in U.S:
Prescott,Peterson to Garcia.
