All i can say is Eddie Futch was one of the greatest trainers ever and would evolve with the game of boxing.
Is boxing moving to fast for roach? Has he been exposed as a trainer? Becasue honestly Oscar Linares's style got exposed. Manny Pac recent loss... got exposed. Amir Khan stopped in 4 = exposed!
These are all top calibur fighters... is the wild card done?
Freddy's style is honestly to volley up the middle with his punches and to have ****ty defense..... ?!?!?
Linares, khan, Pac, Latif ALL VOLLY up the middle and have **** defense. That equals exposed to me. That's a very average tactic of boxing imo.
so Ali was exposed by Norton and Frazier then (after all he fought them both 3 times and all fights were tough and he arguably lost half or most of them) if we use the same logic. Got it.
Look, a fighter has a particular style. Every fighter has styles they will have problems with. This is simply the fact of boxing. A brawler is going to struggle against a boxer. A defensive fighter may struggle with high volume punchers, etc etc etc. How is that being exposed? That's silly. If you know boxing you know for the most part its simply a matter of style match-ups. This is true for just about any fighter in the world (maybe there is a very tiny percentage of fighters that can adapt to any style, like Mayweather for example, but that's pretty damn rare and probably not even true as I'd bet floyd would struggle against a tall fighter with a long reach who has a great jab (a style he's never really fought before)).
Again, exposed is a term you use for a guy who is protected or whatever. All JMM proved is that he has the style that matches up perfectly against Pac. He is Pac's Norton or Frazier. They can fight 100 times and it's going to be close every time.
The second Ali-Fraizer fight was quite one sided.
But I get your point and agree.
Do you really know what exposed means? If you think Pac was exposed 3 times, so you mean to say Pac was already exposed since the first Marquez fight and that was 8 years ago after 15 other fights but why still nobody cant take advantage of him being exposed? Please don't use the Bradley fight as an example because you will only exposed yourself aa an idiot.
lol calm down son. Look at the banner all these fighters fight under. WILD CARD GYM!
Who is their trainer Freddy "WALMART of boxing" ROACH. One style fits all.
His most recent pupils.
OSCAR LINARES (koed against a counter puncher)
MANNY PAC( if exposed get you pissy, then exploited by a counter puncher)
AMIR KHAN (koed against a counter puncher)
You know who else fights the same Daniel Jacobs...He got koed by....a...counter puncher....hmmmmm
Lateef Kayode fights the same except a very ****ty version or the Volly and have no defense style.
Those are most if not all Roach's top fighters who do the exact same rhythm and style of boxing. When one has a crack in the armor of one you could almost apply it to all of them.
Don't get your panties in a twist. And considering Manny lost not one but four times imo to the same style over various parts of his career. One might used the word exposed my friend.
pac got exposed 3 times against a lil known Mexican fighter, JMM. And though it was a close fight, Bradley used JMM's style to give pac troubles. .

like I said before u can't fix a weak chin. I always knew khan would get ko'd again it was only a matter of time. almost every khan fight its in the back of ur head that at any moment a big shot could end him.
not seeing how pac got exposed everyone thought he won. if anything pac is slowing down and is losing his explosiveness.
Great post,
Absolutely agree.
That's what makes Kahn's fight so exciting, his fights have always been entertaining. One shot and it's queer street.
Not sure where he goes from here, he's taken massive shots.
Roach has always been a good trainer but criminally overrated. He shouldn't have got in the HOF so soon and especially not the same year Tommy Hearns got in, that shit was disrespectful to a true legend.
why does it have to be that pac got "exposed" when simply he had tough fights against those three guys (minus the bradley fight that was a clear win)? That's like saying Ali was "exposed" against Frazier or something silly like that.
I think it's quite clear a 34 year old Pacquiao is past the point of being exposed.
Exposed is a term used for guys that have been protected or whatever and finally step up, not hall of fame fighters that have risen to the occasional multiple times.
It seems on NSB this term is tossed around any time a guy has a tough fight or loses or whatever. "Vitali was exposed by chisora he'll lose to haye!" really? smh.
Marquez is Pacquiao's Norton :boxing:
Khan is just a stupid fighter.
He hasn't learned ***** from the Prescott and Maidana fights.
Khan could have won this fight so easily.
But instead of boxing smart and being patient.........Khan does what he always does.
Over aggressive.
you can only execute what your trianed to do. Khan is smart his trainer is no Eddie Futch.

Exposed might be a heavy term true. But the fact that Roach has a style of teaching that everyone has caught onto. Volly up the middle offense and poor defense.
Sound like anyone familiar? JMM used good footwork and countered now that you think about it, every fighter that is a counter puncher gives Raoch's boxers fits.
I guess i was so heavy on pac because this guy was "killing" people then he fights jmm and loses and then fights Bradley and losses bradley was checking that straight left all night and giving manny angles manny had little to nothing. so i would say he's been figured out he's been exposed for lack of effective versatility. he fights the same every time and when people begin to see that, people adjust. thus being exposed imo. it's a lil harsh in lingo but i feel the point is accurate.

there is a cure for weak chin its called defense & boxing instead of wild offensive brawling.
You can use the entire ring & actually box & move. Use your height, your reach, use your long jab. Boxing artistry. Freddie Roach wouldnt know how considering he is a face first brawler. If khan wants to actually learn how to box he needs to hire emmanuel steward who is perfect for tall fighters with great reach & a weak chin.
yuuuuuuuuuuuup! flurries up the middle?!!? when the other guy is always stepping to his left and countering with a huge left hook lol!
Khan, no feints, no R hooks and every time he threw his right hand his head was straight up in the air.... smh. those are all trained faults. Can't Blame Khan when Roach can't see the mistake. (which he claims to look for in other fighters... why can't he see it in his own fighters????)
Pac got exposed? No. Khan got exposed? Yes.
did Roach tell his fighter not to trade hooks. IMO the signs in the Maidana fight were there, Maidana would counter with a right hook and in the later stages of that fight had Khan RUNNING.
This time when he would turn Garcia to his left, he countered.
More like stupidity on Khan's part and lousy Freddy inability to hammer down meaningful instructions to his fighter.
Freddie needs to call it quits.
pac got exposed 3 times against a lil known Mexican fighter, JMM. And though it was a close fight, Bradley used JMM's style to give pac troubles. How come pac can run a train on all these guys but then can't ko a guy coming up 7 lbs in weight? When he was running trains on every fighter before that except for one guy.
Linares lost recently too with the exact same style as khan ala pac. it's the same style throw vollys of punches it's so basic!
The only guy yet to be exposed, is Chavez Jr. which might come up with Martinez.
Roach's style is the same with every fighter and he doesn't see that he is the guy doing the same mistake over and over again.
And when they are forced to change it up khan should have thrown a R hook not a Right uppercut from a distance... smh. I'm an amateur fighter and know that **** bro! Roach teaches no basic defensive fundies, or abbreviated combinations to counter adjustments the other fighter was doing. man I knew khan should have thrown the right hook not right uppercut.... but who's his coach. Roach.... smh. Dude is basic math.
Pac got exposed? No. Khan got exposed? Yes.

Actually I think Roach is still a good trainer for brawlers. However he needs to stay away from good technical fighters that can fight on the outside, because he ruins them
