I'd say Chavez, saw him fight early 2009 against Cuello I think and he looked awful, went life and death with a midget basically, watching the stream last night I was wincing at them body shots Lee was taking. Improvement would be getting better at your skills and bettering the ones that aren't! Chavez is the same he was last year but a step up in his competition. Most improved this Year? 5 Years? Decade? Froch/Ward

I'd have to give it to Alvarez. You can easily document specific improvements he's made.

Same could be said for Canelo. Moot point. The topic does not dwell on Canelo time versus his improvement.

3 years ago nobody picked Andre Ward to win the Super 6. NOBODY. Now there's no one out there from 175 down that is favored to beat him. I'd say that's improvement.

Slightly better skills, but it's his size allowing him to be more dominant now. Carl Froch, Ward, Bradley, Carson Jones and Broner have shown more improvement.

Most improved boxer? The only improvement was his weight management. He has one-dimensional skills. Classical pressure fighter. His younger bother Omar Chavez, has more boxing ability than him.

This fight is going to be huge, if Martinez wins and drops to 154 he could potentially fight Floyd. If Chavez wins he will go to 168 and think of all the massive fights there. Win win really, maybe slightly better for boxing if Chavez wins given his age.
