Anybody see that MMA fight last night?

The only good fight was the main event. Sonnen fought hard. He made it very rough for Silva. But Silva being the true champ that hw is closed the show. Sonnen could no longer take Silva to the mat. He was finished then.

MMA sucks....the good old days are gone, no one wants to watch hump fests. That Russian guy lost too, the ripoffs are just as bad as in boxing...smh

i did not see the ufc last night but that was pathetic and with that said u would be lying if u said the ufc did not have some great athletes but mma is not my cup of tea so i dont watch. lol @ guy saying mma fans dont bash boxing

Don't know why but boxing fans are so insecure when it comes to MMA. MMA fans do their own thing and boxing fans go out of their way to bag on them. It's sad. Nothing has been said here that hasn't been said by MMA fans about the fight.

Ye stayed up till afta 6am 2 watch it, silva was always gonna win that fight (even tho I gave Sonnen the first round) he has a pretty impressive record 4 a UFC fighter(32-4 I believe)

Never in my life will I understand why those ultimate fighters do those spinning punches. It's absolutely absurd. You'd get thrown out of a boxing gym for doing something like that. It does work sometimes. I've seen guys do it successfully but more as a countering move than a leading one.

People still don't realize in this day and age they're two completely different sports? It's not hard for MMA fans to find absurd boxing events too you know.

I enjoy the UFC, not a follower, but I enjoy it. Don't be mad if the guy made a mistake. No one does spinning back hand in Boxing, its only common in kickboxing and UFC. Yes Sonnen made a HUGE mistake in doing that especially when his base wasn't setup properly. Only complain about that fight I had was the fact that the stoppage came too early. I enjoyed that fight.

MMA is a lot different than boxing dude.... you don't get build up fights for 5 years, you get put in with what's available. Did you even watch the last fight and the first round? That's why he got the fight with Silva. Yeah, good first round. He basically laid on top of the guy without doing any damage. I was spilling my drink all over the place I was so excited.

That is the most pathetic thing I think I've ever seen in a main event of a fighting sport. The fact that the guy even got into the main event tells you how sad MMA is. You win one fight and suddenly you're a big name. Then you lose 4 in a row, retire and get in the hall of fame. Hell, I bet the ice cream truck driver with pink hair who KO'd Kimbo Slice will get in the MMA hall of fame.
