Every interview I've seen of Tyson in the past few years I hear him crapping all over boxing and kissing MMA's a.ss. On last night's FNF on ESPN they showed Tyson on Mike And Mike once again ripping Boxing when asked "what would it take to make boxing relevant again". Instead of defending Boxing and pointing out how it's grown worldwide and is still a big sport he just agrees. Although he does bring up a good point about fighters needing to fight more and there needing to be an American HW , he belittles it by saying something along the lines of "see that's why MMA is bigger". It's like this guy doesn't even watch boxing anymore, unless it's somebody like Pacquiao where he can get some attention by being seen hanging out with him. This guy is a joke and I'm tired of him disrespecting the sport that made this hypejob famous. I have no problem with him liking MMA, a lot of boxing fans do, but it's almost like he feels that MMA sport is superior to boxing and that makes me sick to my stomach. Then he has his little broadway play about boxing, and oh he loves boxing now........
rant over
You do realize that Tyson's forgotten more about boxing than any of us are ever likely to learn right?

I wasn't referring to boxing. He's being interviewed about everything these days. I'd love to hear him actually talk boxing again.
That makes even less sense. Just look at all the shows boxing had on today. Imagine those all on one card.
Yea boxing had a buncha shows on today but half of them were in Europe. UFC is on all the time, on Fridays and Saturdays. I personally think it's too much but whatever. I am by no means an UFC/MMA fan but I still watch it.
He probably is just tried of boxing (even though he wouldn't have done anything with his life without it). He made $400 Million and is broke, that is why he don't care about the sport. He should train a fighter or get involved in promoting, he shouldn't turn his back on the sport that saved his life and made him money.
its sad to say but tyson has become a bit pathetic nowadays
he was once the most feared and intimidating on earth, now hes a small skinny old man who comes off as a man whos desperate to stay relevant. i know hed probably still knock me out but its true. the man constantly downplays boxing and cares more about his broadway plays, mma, hangover cameos, and late night talk shows these days ...hes getting annoying honestly. i wish hed just go away, and thats coming from a HUGE tyson fan
he needs to stfu about this mma ****. boxing is not dead and never will be. he needs to stop saying "if boxing was more like mma it would be better again" blah blah blah
I agree dude, I see guys like Sugar Ray Leonard, Chavez, Hearns, Terry Norris, Roberto Duran, and a ton of ther past fighters who still love and appreciate boxing. They're still up to date with the fighters and match ups. Then I see Tyson shi.tting on boxing and has no clue who's who today, just "oh yeah Pacquiao...umm Mayweather....well I think that MMA is growing and bla bla bla". It really surprises and saddens me because Tyson is a boxing historian, he knows all about the past greats and can school anybody on boxing's history. Now it seems he doesn't even care for the sport. I remember seeing him at the Cotto/Mayroga fight and it seemed like he didn't even want to be there.
It was bullshit because MMA guys don't even fight often themselves.
I don't think he meant the guys themselves. I think he meant more like, UFC has shows on more often. At least that was the impression I got from what he said last night on FNF.

Cant really blame him tbh.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's on Dana White's paycheck, he needs all the money he can get
I think he is cause he came out on some of the Ultimate Fighter episodes, forgot which season, to talk to the guys and watch their fights. But I think it was the season where the light skinned spanish dude idolized Bruce Lee.
It was bullshit because MMA guys don't even fight often themselves.
Exactly! Same thing I thought, the big stars in MMA don't even fight that often, probably the same as boxing's biggest stars. Tyson just seems to hate boxing now for some reason.
Seeing him take a turn and become the "good guy" was cool but he's being treated like he's some great source of wisdom, and he falls flat in that role. I'd rather just see him the way he was portrayed in that pigeon show and not all this other bs he keeps going on about.
