GBP should just offer Kirkland more money, and we have a legit fight. That's one of the best options I see for now, short of Mayweather agreeing to fight him on Sept 15. I think they need to push the Date back to late nov or dec and have Canelo vs Kirkland bc now no matter what everyone is gonna tune in to watch JR. vs Martinez ... this has become a disaster & a let down now They backed themselves into a corner so now they have no choice. They desperately need an opponent who's marketable enough to compete with the Martinez/Jr ppv. It's one of those moments when these smart business men turn into 10 yr old kids. Where have you been hiding,trick?? Has ginger ever fought a legit jr middleweight outside of Rhodes?? The kid ducks the entire division. they knew rhodes sucked going in to that fight, too. everybody did. not much more than a british domestic. i believe they'll eventually let canelo air out and fight top guys for big money. the best earning fighters are usually at least among the rest. this fight, however, is a joke ricardo mayorga? even in his prime, when he was fast of hand, hard hitting, and superhuman strong for a WW, he was a frontrunner literally and figuratively.

I still don't (want to) belive they really want Canelo to fight Mayorga. I wonder, maybe they just want to fool people into thinking that way, to make the opponent they will really fight look better.
