Do people actually like the Klitschko's? Do people want to see them?? Do people have a right to watch the heavyweight champions of the world fight on TV if they so choose??? I'm not a huge fan of theirs. But, being they are at the top they should get a little bit of respect and more coverage.
Exactly my point.. Larry's fights were always televised by not only HBO but several other networks, too. Even though many of his bouts were not all that exciting. So some of you think that if Holmes was from Europe HBO may have dropped him?
Micheal Moore's was another.
Do us a favor and show some proof of this or stop making this ridiculous claim. Where there from has nothing to do with it. Larry Holmes wasn't charismatic and fought in some stinkers....and was an American that other Americans didn't find that way either. Explain that. Better yet, just find another excuse.

If you take Charismatic/Charisma at its definition ( exercising a compelling charm that inspires devotion in others then you'd have to say they are.
They may not be brash, flashy or have the trash talking "charisma" of a Floyd Mayweather or the in-ring "charisma" of a (an old) Manny Pacquaio but they have charisma.
They are just very classy. I find Vitali boring though. I prefer Wlad. He comes across very articulate, smart and funny in his interviews.

Put a Brit/American flag on them and these guys become the most charismatic boxers ever. Such a shame these two greats don't get their dues like others just cause they're Eastern Europeans.

From what I've seen of Chad Dawson, the Klits fights are generally more entertaining IMO. And Chad is always televised. I don't have anything against Dawson, just saying...

Clever........... yes
Articulate................yes
charismatic........NO
I think they're reasonably charismatic personalities when you actually listen to them.
They're not charismatic fighters though, which is kinda the problem.
vitali's personality isnt as forthcoming as his brother's (english isn't his best language either, they both speak about six languages,)
wladimir is straight up funny. he's got a very quick wit. i really like him.
i think that if the brothers were american and knockout punchers they'd be two of the biggest stars in history of athletics.
The poll question and thread question is different. I dont think they are very charasmatic but i do think they should be televised. I always enjoy watching Vitali fight.
Im down with this. I don't particularly like watching Wlad fight but I am interested and think the heavyweight champion should be televised, though I understand why he isn't so much in America.

The Klitschkos are charismatic to their people, and are popular all across Europe and elsewhere.
Saying that; HBO has on many occasions tried to push the Klitschko Brothers onto the American audience, but they never caught on with the mainstream fans here. They got a little more attention when they were fighting in the USA on a regular basis, but since they make more money in Europe, they're really off the radar. HBO made a huge push when Wlad fought Ibragimov in NYC, and the event was a disaster with fans.
Frankly, the Klitschkos are not what US fans want to see in a Heavyweight champion. Why? Their fighting style, Soviet background, ethnicity, attitude ect. are probably all factors. The fans here simply never bought into Klitschko, and the Klitschkos have been fine with taking their events back home because of it.
There's nothing wrong with it. When the champion is American, American fans are likely to be far more interested in America. I love watching them, but understand that they are just not what American fans want to see.
Hurray for Epix :boxing:
Another reason why the haters don't find them charismatic is cause they're not acting like idiots like Chisora & Haye. If Wlad wasn't charismatic I don't see how he would of been able to pull that one chick from Heroes. Another thing is that in the states a lot of the people like that bling bling and showing off everything like Mayweather. Wlad isn't like that.
Dude acts like a champion with CLASS.
They are champions with class. But you can be that without being charismatic, of which both brothers certainly are not.
