Chavez jr, or ginger. I didn't like either at 1 point, but IMO Chavez jr has really stepped his game up & dare I say has a shot at legitimately being the best fighter at 160. I used to think that Martinez clowns him, but now I'm not so sure.
I have absolutely no respect for ginger. Rhodes is his greatest win, IMO or Hatton, (not Ricky), for his strap. I cannot name a step up fight since being handed his title. He has reached a curve & done nothing note worthy ever.
Chavez earned the people's respect by fighting martinez, canelo has the all potential but is so spoiled by GBP. if they ever fight im with chavez all the way.. but canelo can reach great heights if he ever steps it up..
If not for that ass-looking hairstyle, I'd be riding the Chavez Jr bandwagon full blast.
I prefer him because A). I think he's a better fighter, B). Is taking on better comp and C). I like how he hits the body in fights.
Lastly, I do not think Martinez can beat Chavez
Crappy haircut or not, Chavez is a real fighter, ginger is a pampered protected joke of a champion.

Chavez Jr is fighting for the "Linear middleweight championship title"against a top 3 p4p fighter.Canelo is fighting who??Lopez?the guy was at 140 9 months ago.
:You_Rock_This logic is too sound for boxingscene. It makes too much sense. The usual boxingscene expert believes that in the business of boxing, ginger is the man.
both are Extremely OVERRATED but I give the edge to Chavez Jr especially since he is fighting Martinez and if he wins then he is no longer OVERRATED and you have to consider him 100% LEGIT maybe even a Top 10 P4P Fighter?
They're both garbage tbh, Chavez Jr is gonna lose by vicious KO to Martinez and Canela will get his jaw broken by Lopez. I hope this happens.
If Chavez does happen to lose to Martinez, there won't be any shame in that. Greater fighters than him have blatantly also ducked Martinez. Hell 1 even said they'd fight him at 150 & when he said lets's do it, that same fighter retreated to 147. :dunno:
But Josesito cannot beat ginger, which is why the fight was made, that's how ginger rolls.:grr:
Both have no amateur back rounds, but Canelo has a lot more potential and his skills are becoming more apparent every fight.
I wouldn't say Chavez has faught better opposition, in fact I would say about the same for the exception of Chavez finally fighting Martinez. Except for that Canelo has a much brighter future ahead of him.
If a catch-weight fight occurred, I believe Canelo would KO Junior. Huge difference in power and doped; Canelo punchs threw his opponents head, not just at them!
Is this sarcasm, cause you cannot be serious?? Right??:dunno:

Wow did ya'll see that dude whirldwind?? He actually made a tread hating on Floyd fans this morning. Like there aren't current events happening that boxing fans should be more concerned with. I had to post this post in this tread cause his is too stupid to post in, LOL!!:boxing:
you dont think he's improving?
he is getting better. i can understand your dissapointment with the guys he's fighting, but to be personal about it (calling him ginger for example,) is off base, given that he does not pick who he fights.
some of it is experience he's getting from these guys (again, i would match him tougher if i made the decisions, but i don't,) but most of it is that he's becoming a man.
I never said anything about improving. You quoted me saying Chavez has grown on me while ginger hasn't.
But do I think ginger is improving?? I honestly don't know. I mean he went from almost being dropped by Miguel Cotto's lightweight brother (in his weightclass), to decisioning a shot, faded, war torn Shane Mosley while Mosley remained competitive. Kind of hard for me to make a decision on how much he improved based of of that.:dunno:

He does seem to be improving and he really might be the goods imo, but no hard questions can be answered until he accepts a real challenge. More than one probably.
As to who picks his fight, at some point the fighter is the captain of his own ship. He's gotta' take responsibility for the deals that are made in his name.
Bruh, I don't think he's beaten a legit JWW or WW?
Shane was like the 10th ranked WW.
Who knows where Gomez was. Cotto??
I'm not even sure Lopez is a top 10 WW??
Before the Ortiz fight, he lost to Vargas... I thought he maybe could've pulled it out, but he lost. Was he even a top 5 JWW when he fought Vargas?
I'm not sure.
rhodes was ranked four or five when canelo fought him and he sucks
were you watching boxing then?
Chavez has grown on me, but ginger?? No fvcking way.

canelo is a better boxer but JR is much bigger and he's making better improvments
he's also further along in his career. canelo is just now entering the man years. chavez is a grown man.
canelo hasn't foght anybody like zbik or Lee yet.
i'd pick JR to win if they were to fight. he's naturally a much bigger guy.
both guys really grew on me. JR is a badass. still got flaws, but he's a hard dude. he looked terrific against lee. great chin, nice power, rough style for a MW to deal with.
