Nice but he's no Floyd. The technical brilliance Floyd had will take a long time to comeback around again. His power is there and he's fast as lightning but that's a good fighter. To be a GREAT fighter you need to have those and also the ability and smarts to not get hit. Broner doesn't get hit allot mostly due to the fact he hit you first but Floyd would work the angles, use the shoulder roll, and slip punches than Broner even at the same point in his career. I wish for another Floyd, an young Floyd who dominates, who can show boxing is still a sport, not a "who's the next De La Hoya" popularity contest but I don't think Broner is him.
im not impressed yet. Hes fun to watch....beating up on out classed bums. But as soon as you put an experienced fighter in there...his act is over. We wont know if hes the real deal until he moves up to the B then A class fighters. These below C class fighters isnt showing nothing
:bs2:
I agree with this here.
why?
1. PDLs best weight was 122, a full two divisions below where he fought Broner
2. PDL subsequently went back down to 126 where he will now fight Jhonny Gonzalez for Gonzalez' title
3. the vast majority of media covering had PDL winning
that's why
would you rather me bring up Fernando Quintero?
I will wait for you to look up the name
alot of fighters have had tough fights early on and even lost some have been brutally ko'd and came back to be great.so it is pointless bring up a fight were a young fighter had problems........he won
and horribly racist
I'm glad someone else saw those retweets.... he's ignorant in general
Future P4P King, Gary Russell Jr.
he has way more potential than Broner IMO
too bad he's in his mid 20's and still hasn't fought anyone
Fights similar to Mayweather which is good if he expects to last in the game by not taking too many shots to the head. Is a hard puncher at the moment, but that can change with time. Fought a guy with 11 losses early on, but has upped his comp gradually. Has a nice, crisp left hook.
Tougher comp will determine if he has what it takes to be P4P. Does he have well developed attributes? Time will tell.
He has 10k Twitter fans last time I saw...
He probably had 20k in total but half left. I left because he is annoying. A tweet bandwidth should not be wasted on: haaaaaa haaaaaaa
Some reason I can't find myself to want to like him. Good boxer though.

why do yall keep bringing up Ponce DE Leon????it was a tough fight but he won....not like he was knocked out 2 times by some damn cab drivers

twitter doesnt have **** to do with the p4p list
his issue will be finding opponents of a tier that will allow for him to be considered among the best fighters in the world. of course he's got to beat them after that. there's hardly ever anything going on at 130, now or otherwise. his money fights will be at 135 and 140. eventually he might even think about 147.
he might get a chance to fight gamboa or russel jr. those are opponents who could get him onto the p4p list. russel jr down the line (probably much more than a year,) and gamboa after a fight or two to get him active again.
another issue is top rank and goldenboy's inability to work together. if goldenboy doesnt hold the best fights for broner's resume they wont happen.

it's either "Haaaaa"
or incoherent tweets directed at an unknown person...
that is when he isn't retweeting racist tweets...

broner isn't all that, he should be fighting at a higher weight class. and his style is like floyd OF TODAY, not the younger floyd who was more dynamic, more aggressive and a much more risk taker. that's why he's a little bit boring already except when he knocks his much much smaller opponents out lol.
i saw perez coming up on boxeo tecate, etc, and i thought broner was going to stop him in the fourth round, lol.
what happened again? i forgot.
fourth or fifth round, right?
coke had nothing to do with that
hell, it might have helped him see some punches better
somebody told me that cocaine only stays in your sytem for a few days tops if you are a premium athlete with little body fat and water weight. do you think he took it before the fight?
i do remember him crying in the fighter meetings iwth the HBO team. does cocaine make you cry/emotional? i've never touched the stuff
i do know that if somebody isnt blinking it's a good sign that they're on coke, but i didnt look.
Well if it only stays in your system for a few days according to body fat etc and he tested positive after the fight then chances are he had the stuff pretty close to fight night. Remember the weigh in when he was being choked? All he did was smile. Then as you mentioned the crying.
I just asked a friend at work who did it once before. He said yea it might give you energy but it could mess with your reflexes and such. Then he said once it starts to wear off it could make you sluggish. I guess it all depends on when he did actually do the coke.
