What do you see the top 3 spots in the p4p list looking like in 3-5 years?
Admittedly my knowledge of some of the newest up an comers is weak, but this will give me a chance to check for guys I haven't seen fight or heard of. If you can post videos that would be great to ( I can't on my phone )
Mine would look something like this
1) Rigo
2) Andre ward
3) Gary Russell Jr.
I'm pretty sure Anselmo Moreno will be there, Ward if he gets past Dawson too, definitely, beside that.. Alvarez may get there if they'll give him right opponents, Bradley I think will be close, Broner too probably, also Russell Jr. and maybe, maybe Dirrell and Dawson. Those are the people I see at the top in 3 years, probably someone will explode out of nowhere, it always happen. So, my final guess will be:
1. Andre Ward
2. Anselmo Moreno
3. Saul Alvarez (?)
in 3 years
1.SoG
2.donaire
3.el ciclon
in 5 years
1.SoG-interesting to see who from the lower weight classes move up to Smw/Lhw to keep his perch.don't think he will go higher.
2.canelo
3.benavidez-sleeper pick
Even ward's position is not guaranteed. He could very well lose to Dawson in his next fight and have Dawson take his spot instead. Rigondeaux is already 31 and he'll have to lure Donaire into the ring and beat him. He'll also be contending with Russell Jr since around the same weight class.
Bradley will be a top guy around the 140-147 division with Pac & Mayweather retiring.
Chavez Jr actually have a chance if he beats Martinez, then the winner of Pirog & GGG. Throw a beating of Pavlik and Sturm in there and you have a top 3-5 P4P spot.
So the top spots, in no particular order.
- Ward/Dawson
- Donaire/Rigondeaux/Russell Jr.
- Chavez Jr/Tim Bradley
I agree with ward and all 3 of your second row, but Chavez Jr in the top 3 p4p?....only if Josie Sulaman is in charge of the list. Lol. He would do good to stay faaaar away from Pirog I think

You see ward being more technically skilled than Rigo? Just curious
Yes, by virtue of the fact that that we haven't seen much from Rigondeaux yet and anyone can look great against lesser competition. He may be as skilled or more, but it would be foolish to put him above Ward at the current moment. Ward had proven himself. Also, Rigo does make defensive mistakes that may catch up with him when he faces guys skilled enough to exploit them.
You can't, one KO is all it takes, but I would say Ward, Rigo, and Broner, but something tells me Broner and Gamboa might get KO. I am not that impressed with Gary Russell Jr. he has no punch.
True, but neither did Pernell. Not comparing his skill to pernell but if he has a solid chin he should be ok. Would love to see him and Gamboa in the future just based on the pure speed
Ward should be there.
Donaire has the opportunity since he has the opponents to put him there. Likewise for Rigo and company.
Gamboa too.
Bradley if he keeps winning too..I mean he has an official win over Pac, for whatever that's worth.
