I know a lot of people who have a lot of money on this fight. My boy from work has 2000 dollars on it and who ever wins by knockout has to pay double.I got like 400 on it. I got Sergio winning by a late KO.
I must say that i am surprised at the amount of posters who thinks that Martinez will KO Chavez, because what I'VE seen tells me that this fighter has a cast iron jaw, and I can't visoualise him being KOd under any presently available circumstances. For me Martinez made his name of a KO fighter with a tremendous punch, only from the Paul Williams fight. Nothing he's shown It's possible that his athletic ability will help to a later TKO, but I'm not expecting it.
On the other hand, this will be an opportunity to see if Chavez can walk through Martinez' punches as he did Lee's-and Lee is a certified KO puncher,'
Fighting one Popeye's Chicken assistant manager after another doesn't make you #3 P4P fighter.
Just because somebody posts it on the internetz doesn't make it true.
just because you say he's El dinero de vaca in spanish doesn't mean it sounds good either. Did you get that because he's Bob Arum cash cow it makes sense to say it english but it sounds stupid and looks stupid in spanish. You do get that right I know your not that dumb.
Sergio is the much better fighter but this fight might be closer than I originally thought. I still favor Martinez though. Chavez is a tough brawler who is relentless with limited skills.
Why even respond? He's obviously not serious. He's always writing over the top B.S. in JCC threads.
Oh, I know, he is just an alt anyways. I just like to retaliate a bit, it's all in good fun.
These Popeye's chicken managers must be eating some good stuff to be ranked so high and only have maybe one loss on their records or undefeated before Sergio breaks em up then.

loooooooooooooooooooooooooool
Sure i'll take it, but shouldn't the odds be in my favor since it's obvious that Martinez is a huge favorite here? w/e tho i'll take it
I thought that Chavez was this beast who was gonna stomp a mud hole in the old man? How about 2-1?
lately im starting to think chavez, but i have no idea. I think Chavez might be too big, plus martinez getting old and gunna have a long lay off between fights, i think it could be a late roudn stoppage or decision for chavez. I could also see ity going other way though, depends if age has caught up on martinez or the lay off
Under what circumstances does Martinez beat Chavez?
Are you all still fixated on that Pwill KO? I don't get it. Chavez Jr will son Maravilla.
Remember when Rios was just "too big and strong" for everyone at 135? Then he got schooled by Richard Abril.
Remember when Rios, Lemieux, Angulo, Kirkland, Lacy, JuanMa, etc. were world beaters?
JCC = face first brawler who looks good against lesser competition
People underestimate Chavez and overestimate Martinez.
Chavez will stop Martinez.
I got points on it
You might be right , but this aint Andy Lee class and Jnr aint fought anyone near this level , he may keep on rolling be for real or he may fold because he is not an elite fighter , Snr was schooled the same way they have schooled Jnr lots of nobody fights , its time to find out what he really is .
Some of you guys talk about Martinez like he is some washed up scrub who doesn't know how to fight or what he is facing.
Sergio has been facing elite competition back to back to back for plenty of fights now. Chavez' best win is against Andy Lee, really think about that. Chavez' defense is sub-par and he swings wide because he is used to pinning guys against the ropes and grinding them down.
Martinez is a distance fighter who has excellent timing and very straight punches. How many of Martinez' last few opponents haven't had their face lacerated and bleeding by the time they got stopped or the fight ended?
Sergio will tie up if Chavez gets close to him and have him coming toward him all fight as he backs out of danger. When Chavez is moving toward Martinez do you know what he will be moving toward? Very straight 1-2 combinations that will frustrate him to no end.
Don't forget that Martinez is usually the smaller man fighting taller, heavier opponents most of the time, Pavlik was almost 180 lbs on fight night when Sergio fought him and he is a much better technical boxer than Chavez is.
I think Chavez starts getting tagged flush immediately in the first round and his right eye starts to get red and swell. By the 4th round, his eye should be giving him big problems. I think the fight gets stopped late by Chavez' corner.
