....actually a jaw can be seriously f'cked up in a fight. I never boxed but I know something else: for whatever reason I have a little bit problems with my jaw, actually the right jaw joint. It makes noise when I eat or move it and it feels strange and maybe hurts a little bit. Sometimes its better, sometimes its worse. Boxers' jaws get permanently damaged in sparring and in real fights. I just want to say that some pple here make it very easy by saying: Ortiz quit, he is a p'ssy. What I want to say is that the damage you take in that ring stays with you forever. And I mean FOREVER. My jaw isnt fine and it hasnt been since many years. I can only imagine what a boxer's jaw feels like cause the whole jaw joints must be seriously damaged and hurt. And thats not something that is just for a few weeks and then its gone. It stays with you. Til the day you die. And I know some tough guys are gonna talk tough in this thread, but the bottom line is if you dont feel the punches and if you dont feel what a f'cked up jaw feels like, then shut up. Sit down and shut up. And dont talk about things you dont know nothing about.
fighting =/= basketball
Boxing is about pride. If you've ever been in a fight and you have your buddies cheering you on and other people are watching, then you know no matter what's wrong with you you keep fighting. That's what it's all about.
Have you ever seen anyone quit a fight because a ****ing jammed finger?
