There's a great deal more people playing football rather than boxing. Don't kid yourself. These numbers are bull****, I skimmed the article and there's no statistical basis here that could rank sports against each other. This is like saying that smoking doesn't cause lung cancer because 60% of lung cancer patients have never smoked. There are likely more boxers in the world than anyone playing football. That kind of football only really exists in the US.

Seriously golf is 16th and boxing is 75th...what a joke. I once borrowed my friends golf shoes which were to small and I got a heel blister...that's is probably the only way you can get hurt playing golf. Stray golf balls. Do you really need this explained to you?

Btw if baseball is above boxing I completely agree. There's so many injuries in baseball, there are some hilarious ones too. I believe one guy couldn't pitch because "he stayed up playing Guitar Hero for too long and sprained his arm." I wonder how they list that on the injury report. P John Doe left game with moth ear. It's not I race dirt bikes and box amatuer , I have broken bones in my back , ankle, wrist ,shoulders had several concussions and in boxing I've hurt my hand . People have died and been paralysed fairly often racing dirt bikes so it's defantly more dangerous as long as you count it as a proper sport

It's also a sport where nearly every rule is to prevent the competitors getting serious injuries. You're absolutely right when you say that boxing fans should be happy that the sport is 75th and not any higher. But I still find it hilarious that the "hurtin business" doesn't actually hurt that much compared to other sports.

Why are people getting so butt hurt over this, is it a bad thing that boxing safety has improved so much over the years? I doubt they count cuts and bruises as injuries and it's common sense that those other sports would have more serious injuries if you think about it. In most of those sports on the list when things go wrong the equipment and force of them hitting the floor, each other etc is a lot more than someone punching you.

Oscar De La Hoya went from being in the 75th most dangerous sport, boxing, and retired only to now participate in the 15th most dangerous sport. Who does that? Best resume in boxing. They ranked Boxing #1 most physically demanding/toughest sport in the world, not most dangerous. Though it's BS that it's the 75th most dangerous sport in this list. That is just BS to the 3rd degree. There's actually 74 safer "sports" than boxing? Get out of here lol. I bet they placed Hopscotch at in the top 10. Maybe even Tennis is in front of Boxing? Oh wait, you can drown in swimming races, so let's out that in front of boxing too. These stupid queers, whoever made that list lol.

I think I saw once on a TV show the most dangerous sport base on a deaths per year was extreme fishing or something like that. Where they would fish for big BIG fish idk. Yeah I read somewhere that70 or 80 % or so of deaths in sport where from drowning. Also Australian Rules football would be up there as you can see in my sig. Although that guy came back on later in the game.
