The interview with Jim Grey seemed pretty odd, any thoughts? He seemed pretty damn punch drunk and mistakenly said he broke his jaw in the first round and corrected himself after. Looked like he was staggering a bit too...
Can't believe Ortiz. I had him up 87-84. Lopez had his rounds and his moments, was a very competitive fight. Lopez has a strange style and than just shoots off akward looking combo's. All Ortiz had to do was keep fighting hard the way he was, and he would have won the decision. I question the whole jaw thing mainly because Danny Garcia was asking him for several rounds if he was alright, and it seemed like he had to really motivate Ortiz a few rounds to get him to go out.
Can anyone imagine if Ortiz had stopped Lopez in the 2nd when Lopez looked really hurt??? Lopez was getting ridiculous with how many times he was clinching between rounds 4-8, but oh well.
Ortiz blew it. He had his shot for a mega fight with Alvarez, which if he won, could have lead to a rematch with Floyd. I just can't believe he quit, again.
He had his jaw broken (or he says so) and just lost a huge pay day with Canelo, there's a lot to process and giving a post fight interview is right at the bottom of the priority list.
Yes he was. Ortiz was staggering around there as well and was a little incoherent
Because he just got his sh1t blown out, not because he is punch drunk
He's not punch drunk. You're going way to into it, he just got his jaw blown out, it is perfectly normal for him to have a GRAMMATICAL ERROR two minutes after...

For such a young guy Ortiz has taken a lot of punishment, I think he needs to seriously start considering weather he wants to continue in the sport of boxing.
i said this to my dad right after the fight finished.
From getting rocked in this fight, Mayweather KO, and the Maidana fight, and the way he was speaking tonight post fight I think he should take some consideration in to retirement. Lopez is a natural 140 fighter who was rocking him and was obviously punch drunk and off balance after the fight was stopped.
