Let me start by saying that Lopez showed an assload of heart, and I'm not giving Ortiz any crap cause most of us wouldn't make it past the 1st round against a pro fighter, I certainly wouldn't.
Now, looking ahead to september, with another PPV on the horizon, it makes sense stepping aside (assuming GBP is not contractually obligated to showtime to put on a card, I'm not sure how that works) and and making what is sure to be a bigger PPV against Cotto at a date where it wont have its PPV's sales cannibalized by a separate PPV.
Disregard the arena if you must, but surely we all agree that this makes the most sense, right?
Cotto is overrated as fuck, why would he deserve another payday??? smh
Lol, in any case it'd be Canelo getting the payday from a proven draw in Cotto. Not to mention he'd get far more than he would going against Top Rank's event.
i'll co-sign this vvv
