Winner of Canelo-Ortiz makes the most sense for Cotto (Mexican/Puerto Rican rivarly, WBC 154 belt, winner will have exposure from having headlined the Sept 15 PPV, etc...). I doubt we'll see rematches with Floyd or Pac for him. Chavez is too damn big, it wouldn't be too smart of him to move up to MW. I would love to see Martinez come down to 154 and fight Miguel but that's a pipe dream.

he just visit MSG last week so clearly he is likely considering fighting in NY for his next fight not sure who that will be though, hopefully it is a good opponent!

I honestly think we'll see Cotto vs. Alvarez/Ortiz winner in December, unless Floyd returns in December against Khan. If that's the case, I think we could see Cotto either take a fight with someone like Bundrage, a good fighter in the top 10 for a title but not a huge threat, and then we could see Alvarez-Kirkland on the Floyd card in December. Either that, or Cotto would just wait until January or Febrary to fight the Alvarez/Ortiz winner on PPV.

Don't know if there is any truth to it but I heard Mayweather offered him a guaranteed of 14 mill for an immediate rematch but Cotto turned it down, I personally don't buy it but... While I don't believe it really, because I highly doubt Cotto would turn down 14 million to fight Floyd in December, those would be some good fights. I do think Amir Khan, if Floyd elects to fight in December, will be the opponent. Khan has good wins over Kotelnyk, Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, and probably Garcia now, and should have a win over Peterson if you ask me, so it's a good fight. It's also a fight that could generate a lot of money, in America and the UK. And Khan may be the only opponent available for December, if Floyd opted to return then. Pacquiao looks to never be happening unless Pac realizes he isn't getting 50-50 and is busy with Marquez, Sergio is busy with Chavez, Alvarez is busy with Ortiz, who else is there to fight??? Mayweather-Khan in December, given Khan looks good in beating Danny Garcia, would be a solid/good fight. I'd rate it a B fight, maybe a B+ if Khan absolutely kills Garcia. It would only be an A if Khan went to 147 for a fight against a Top 10 WW and looked real good. But it's a good fight for Floyd in December, if that's what he really decides to do. And Yes, if Ray Leonard could go up to 160 and beat Hagler, Floyd has the ability to go to 154 or 160 and beat Sergio Martinez. Hope that fight really happens, maybe it will if Sergio beats Julio down on a big PPV and gets some more fans.

Hopefully we get Cotto-Kirkland and the winner can face the Ortz-Canelo winner.
