So I finished watching a South Park episode(The Coon) on Netflix and was about to get online and start beasting on MW3, as usual, but I instead popped in the old Fight Night Champion game just for the hell of it. I was quickly reminded why I stopped playing that shit of a game.
First of all I was using my 160 lbs, 5'11 Erik Morales CAB that has a reach of 77" which I bought every Gold Pack possible for and still lost by KO to a guy that was 5'8, 147lbs with a reach of 73"
It seemed like my opponent could throw like a 20 punch combo from the outside and me, I would throw like 4 or 5 and my stamina would drop to zero. Every time i threw punches it seemed like i would slide backwards and move forward every time my opponent swung, kinda like a magnet effect.
Another thing that irritates me is how when I would land like 3 hard punches I wouldn't even move my opponent but he would stun me with a jab. A fucking jab!
Please note that I got every gold pack and applied it in every section and messed with the boxer growth section: skills and athleticism yet got outboxed from the outside by a midget with a short reach.
The next Fight Night should bring back Mayweather, add current fighters: Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, Gennady Golovkin, Andre Ward, Keith Thurman, Mikey Garcia, Ruslan Provodnikov, Adonis Stevenson, Sergey Kovalev, Peter Quillin, Sergio Martinez, Guillermo Rungonduck.
I wish they had a realism mode that showed the business side of boxing, like, we could play as our promoter and pay off judges, do negotiations and go to press conferences and sh*t like that so we could hype fighters up and get more money.
F*ck... I'm dreaming of a Fight Night/Sims hybrid of a game, where we could spend all our hard earned PPV revenue on cars and mansions, make it rain in strip clubs, instagram sh*t, youtube ourselves flushing money down the toilet and taking sh*ts at popeyes and leak sex tapes just to get more fans/haters, increasing our next purse.
And I want a mode where we have to make weight before the fight or get fined.
And I want PEDs in the game.
I'ma send this sh*t to EA Sports.
Dude that'd be awesome i'd pay big bucks for that lol also in the legacy mode be able to move up weight divisions be like a 10x division world champ. have legacy mode let you control your fighter and spend your money, promote your fights, and have like a 24/7 type thing for ur big fights
next gen fight night would be legendary lol they would need to keep all the same fighters but add
rigo
broner
mikey
floyd
canelo
sergio
ruslan
GGG
and then make sure the game is polished and make sure it doesn't look like rock em sock em robots when u play on the hardest difficulty. i would pay 100$ for a game like this lol

I don't own Champions, but I've played it on numerous occasions and dislike the physics. Fight Night Round 4 feels much better, but Champions has better features and a better roster.
Champions has like 4 different Pacquiaos for DLC lol
I hope they make one for the next gen... at least one instead of all UFC games.
Then again, it's impossible with all the boxers and licencing fees
Dana got it easy since they're all under him
**** Isaac Frost. Still haven't beat that dude
Isaac was impossible for me to beat b/c i had changed my settings for home games (increased power and damage, lowered toughness a bit). Isaac was rocking me with jabs nonstop. Changed settings to low power and damage and fight was easy sauce.
If anybody interested in some PS3 matches: donkeypunchman
My problem was online i created myself my real size. MFers at welter and middle 6'8 reach maxed out and weight maxed out. My ass at 5'8 lol i always thought that was lame. Speaking of creating yourself anybody use the EA site to make themselves.
**** Isaac Frost. Still haven't beat that dude
The gimped stamina system and non existant footwork ruined this game for me, I'll throw less and land more than my opponent but they still end up having more stamina than me.
the patches EA put on the game ruined it even more and Online just plain sucks.
Yeah FNC is pretty bad. It's online community is abysmal, I try to have realistic boxing matches and these kids just try and act like old school floyd mayweather, running around and just pumping that jab and straight right. I have to chase them around the ring and by the time I actually catch them my punches have no effect cuz I'm low on stamina -_-
Offline doesn't get any better because Legacy and champion mode leave a lot to be desired. Frost is a troll, still haven't beaten him, I know there are tricks to but I don't even care anymore lol, Legacy mode is ridiculous. It's xp system is skimpy, you are expected to play two training games in between each fight (cuz if you train anymore you wont have time to rest up and fight with little to no stamina) and the training games are ridiculously hard, the only training I find myself doing is open sparring, and this gets repetitive: Just sparring and fighting over and over, and you're stats are improving at snail's pace. And I can't believe you actually purchased stats, I never thought anyone would actually buy it..
The best fight night game imo is FNRound 2. It's haymaker system was insane but I never played online so I never experienced the spammers, but offline career mode had so much depth, and the fighting mechanics were fluid and every fighter had very realistic A.I, footwork was great in this game unlike every fight night to come after it. A true gem imo.
its pretty easy not many fighters can actually throw a lot of combos, so u need to be smart with your punches, n its about punching n not getting punch, so when your opponent tries to punch u make him miss n punch him his stamina will be lower n ur punch will have more effect on him so his stamina will decrease a lot, ive beaten solid dudes with good record they pick ray rob or ray leonard n i beat them with winky or monzon, the less punches u land the harder they are cause your stamina is higher
This ....x1million.
You've got to learn how to actually play the game. Buying the packs won't save you if you're just rubbish.
FNC sucks!! Round 4 was 10x better.
Totally agree. I have Round 4 and it's a good game, particularly 2 player. I downloaded a demo of Champion when it came out and I was shocked, it's terrible. All the control and finesse went out the window, they'd just reduced it to wild power punches.
