The point your missing is that you look better , you look faster , you appear to punch harder , your stamina appears to be more ,, because your opponent is not at his best , thats the issue , Cotto Oscar and Hatton ALL had issues that WILL and DID lower there performance , you are not giving that any weight , you are saying it was all Pac and how good Pac was , but what doesnt gell is in Pacs other fights he was not near impressive as those 3 , doesnt that raise a flag with you or at the very least make you ask questions ?Just because you can't tell the difference between perception and reality doesn't mean that I can't. I have acknowledged that Cotto wasnt allowed to be at his most comfortable weight. My 1st post here acknowledges just that. Cotto may have been a bit drained or whatever, but he was still a live dog in that fight. Cotto was not a zombie in that fight ala DLH. I would say the Cotto of that fight would've beaten Bradley last Saturday night. Cotto was able to inflict damage to Pacquiao which is something that Bradley could not do, yet Pacquiao was much more aggressive against Cotto than he was against Bradley. He walked through Cotto's power and pressured him for the entire fight. He obviously didn't have the stamina to pressure Bradley in the same way even though he didn't have to worry about Bradley's power. Bradley never hurt Pacquiao but Cotto busted his ear drum. You're the one being closeminded here not I. You're saying that Pacquiao is the same guy, and that the change in his performances is all about the circumstances. That's nonsense, Pacquiao is clearly not the same guy even while the circumstances that you speak of did play a factor. He wasn't even as explosive or aggressive in the 3rd Marquez fight as he was in the previous 2 bouts.
Question for the cotto fanboys. Does cottos win against margarito count? because cotto fought tony at a catchweight and drained him?
It was not a CW they fought at 154 , Cotto wanted 150 Margo knew he cant make it and refused , dont know where you Pac retards get your facts from , must be some BS flying arounds Pacs fantasy island .
This Cotto fight is already a close chapter on Pac's career. The only people who wants this fight are his haters and the Cotto stans who until now couldn't accept that their boy was beaten black and blue, and became Pac's b!tch for 8 rounds..
If this fight is goin' to happen is because of the money.. Legacy wise, Pac is better off avenging his only official loss since 2005 against Bradley, close the chapter with Marquez, and go all out against a fight with Floyd...After that he can fVcking retire and continue his career (whatever that is) outside boxing...
Cotto, geezz I cant believe people still want this ***** after 2009...
I haven't swallowed anything, I'm just telling you what I see with my own 2 eyes. Pacquiao does not have the same stamina, the same explosiveness, nor the same power in his punch as he did in '08. In that post of yours, you said nothing to refute anything that I've said. I'm not disputing that some of his wins have been overrated and that some circumstances have been overlooked but I'm not going to concede that his obvious decline is all about the circumstances that you speak of. The Pacquiao of last Saturday night was not the same Pacquiao that fought Cotto. He wasn't as explosive, he didn't have the same stamina, nor was his punches as powerful. Cotto being at a catch weight had nothing to do with that. Even with Cotto being at a catch weight, he was able to inflict more damage to Pacquiao than Bradley was. Pacquiao almost broke Margarito's face, yet Bradley's face showed no real serious damage after going 12 rounds and being caught cleanly by Pacquiao numerous times. I'll say it again, the Pacquiao of '08 would've looked a lot better last saturday night against Bradley because his stamina was better, he was more explosive, and he had more power in his punches.

No way in hell is Manny fighting Miguel at 154. If this fight gets made it would be at 150, Cotto aint going any lower and Manny would never fight Cotto any higher.
How can you say that when his showcase opponents all had issues , its like running a racehorse against a hack , it dont have to be a great racehorse to look great if something is wrong with the opposition , when Pac looked devastating it was against CWed fighters and Hatton who was never the same after Floyd, humiliated him , a new trainer , and a coke habit , Hatton looked average against Lazcano and was given Pauli who cant bruise grape and got beat by Ndou , Pauli was Hattons free pass ticket too Mannys hype train .
Prior to looking great with only Hatton Oscar and Cotto , Pac was not a devastating puncher , he struggled with JMM just the same now as he did last time , Im telling you guys if the opponent dont have a CW andis near his prime and a real top class fighter he will give Pac a lot of trouble in a level playing field!
You fellas swallowed the hype and made a monster thats not real !! and his fights without draining CWs are showing it time and time again , open your eyes and understand WEIGHT and the TIMING of fighting his opponents , Pac is a hype job ! a top fighter no doubt but a WW hype job !I haven't swallowed anything, I'm just telling you what I see with my own 2 eyes. Pacquiao is clearly not the same now that he was in 2008. He doesn't have the same stamina or pop in his punches that he did back then. This is obvious. The Pacquiao of '08 would've had Bradley seriously hurt with those left hands that he landed last Saturday night. Yes, Pacquiao looks better against different styles but he is clearly not the same.

To me Pacquiao has been the same exact fighter he's always been since 2008. From 2008-Present, Pacquiao is the same fighter.
Stylistically favorable match ups made him look like he's all that, but Marquez showed in the third fight that Pacquiao is the same fighter he was in 2008.
Pacquiao beats Cotto again, possibly by TKO again. But I would be much safer on a decision. Too many people are putting a lot of weight on the 2 rounds he won against Floyd. Cotto won like 2 rounds against Pacquiao too. He's still the same fighter.Pacquiao is clearly not the same now that he was in 2008. I wouldn't e so sure that Pacquiao would beat Cotto at 54. Not only is Cotto much more comfortable at 54, Pacquiao is no the same fighter he was for the 1st fight. Its not going to happen, but I think that it would be a competitive fight.

Even though Pacquiao wins again, there's no way he would take the challenge. He's scared of letting Cotto come in at 154. Floyd let Cotto come in at 154 knowing he himself won't be able to make 154, he only made 150, and despite this didn't ask a for a catchweight. I have no interest in pointless rematches or rematches where one guy one in dominant fashion.
Bradley rematch makes the most sense because of the controversy and since pac "lost" his belt to him.
I'd only care for a Marquez fight if it's in Mexico, at some massive venue. It would be so damn crazy and the atmosphere would be off the chains. (I don't care for this fight in Vegas, Texas, etc.).
Then how is JMM not pointless after so many go arounds already lol and we know he beats Bradley and the fight was a stinker , what a contradiction you post is you dont want to see Pac in with any body that is a real challange !
People have been calling Pac on CWS ever since he has be forcing them and have been saying that he must have them to beat those guys , fighting Cotto without a CW proves thats false and legitimizes Pacs CW fights .
Cotto was Pacs first personal choice of opponents , until Cotto said no CW , that even more intensifies the notion that Pac cannot and will not fight him without draining .
Cotto has a new trainer , the best trainer he has ever had , and is in the best condition he has ever been in , this time would be a totally different fight than at 145 coming off a career stopping cheat beating which he has now mentally avenged .
Cotto is the biggest money fight for Pac outside of Floyd .
Cotto would beat Pac at this weight , he would be too strong and his resistance would be at full power , I believe this is why they dont want Cotto because they are scared of losing and they think they will lose , so in that , they will NEVER fight Cotto without a CW .

1.-link please.
2.-that made me lol.
PD: i dont wanna see this shiet again.
JMM mexico, lets do this. Maybe then, jmm get his deserved win over the pacman.

Pac vs Cotto II at 154 makes more sense right now. than the other 2 options. | BoxingScene Community
