What should the P4P Rankings look like.
Try to avoid being biased, avoid rankings fighters based on your personal opinions of them.( meaning don't just pick a boxer or not pick one just because you do or don't like him, or your a fan or not a fan)
Let's not make this a popularity contest......
I want you to rank clearly based off skill, resume, quality of opponents at fight time(meaning not just a name but how that opponent performed recently)
And in regard to this weekends supposed travesty. On record Pac lost and you should figure that into your rankings..
I want complete honesty and no trolling. And if your against P4P please don't waste our time posting.
The Poll is only for Number 1 P4P
1. Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
2. Andre Ward
3. Juan Manuel Marquez
4. Manny Pacquiao
5. Sergio Martinez
6. Nonito Donaire
7. Wladimir Klitschko
8. Vitali Klitschko
9. Carl Froch
10. Chad Dawson
Honorable Mention: Guillermo Rigondeaux
This does look quite accurate in my opinion
so cliff rold doesnt have two eyes? lol
floyd fought better opposition recenlty? pac already beat the crap out ofcotto more imprsively before and than floyd did and that was his most recent fight. same with shane and there aint no way ortiz was better than bradley at any point
pac beat bradley who was a top 8 p4p fighter in a domninat fashion but just did'nt get the decison.Pacquiao fought Cotto at a 145 catchweight where Miguel had to drain himself for (watch the 24/7 where some footage is seen of Miguel being upset that he cannot eat). Cotto also did not have an experienced trainer during the fight with Pacquiao.
Floyd fought Cotto at a comfortable weight of 154 and he had an experienced trainer. Cotto was also considered the number one junior middleweight in the world.
Pacquiao fought a Shane Mosley that just came off a boring draw with Sergio Mora and a lopsided unanimous decision lost against Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Floyd fought a Shane Mosley that just came off a great win over one of the most avoided fighters (at the time) of the sport in Antonio Margarito. Mosley was also ranked the number one welterweight in the world at that point and considered the number three pound-for-pound fighter in the world by most publications.
I'll give Pacquiao some major credit in taking a fight against a young, hungry, in his prime, undefeated junior welterweight champion in Timothy Bradley, Jr. IMO, Pacquiao won the fight comfortably, but he officially lost.
Just one writers opinion
no , i dont base my opninon on anyone elses but it just happens that i share the same opinion. even then my list is diffrent to cliffs
Anyone with two eyes knows that Floyd should be at #1. Look at it objectively rather than subjectively.
Who has better skills? Floyd
Who has fought better opposition recently? Floyd
Who has fought opposition with less advantages? Floyd
Floyd has also fought healthier opposition than Manny while their mental and physical tangibles were also better (i.e. Mosley, Cotto, Ortiz).
Yes, Manny fought a great, young, prime opponent recently, but he also officially lost to him.
