Has there ever been two boxers who fought five common opponents without ever meeting themselves, ASIDE from the obvious two...
++Also while sitting in the same division for years and both considered the 2 top fighters
This really might be unheard of as far as the caliber of fighter Mayweather and Pacquiao are. Two guys atop a division? Sure, happens all the time. The two best fighters in the world, and the best fighters of an era? That's crazy.
That's why people haven't given up on the fight, they don't even consider that these two will somehow never fight each other.
Not unheard of entirely but I think it's unheard of for it to be coming from the best and two most recognised fighters in the sport who happen to also be the two best fighters of their era.
indeed, if this fight doesnt happen it will be one of the biggest let downs in boxing Mayweather -Pacquaio
So I guess if the fight doesn't happen it isn't completely unheard of

what about tito trinidad vs. sugar shane
winky
vargas
oscar
mayorga
that is all I got.
What I want to know is why, tito did not fight vernon forrest, ike quartey, jose luis lopez
or why oscar did not fight forrest or jose luis lopez.
yes, espically the Euro's who claimed for years that RJ ducked him and he would be his hardest fight out there
dont forget he ducked other Euro's like Eubank, Collins, and Benn.
Last time I checked neither of them fought any of the good Americans of the time except Benn when he beat McClellan.....So what happened to them fighting Michael Nunn, James Toney, Bernard Hopkins, Mike McCallum, etc or any of the other good/great Americans campaigning at 160-168 during the early to mid 90's.
I guess the Euros never heard of them guys
Funny thing is He accomplished more than all them, so they needed him alot more than the other way around. Jones won more titles than them and beat more champions than those 3 combined lol
The Klitschko's? I can name three common opponents off the top of my head, but there may be more. In this case though no-one really expected them to fight each other
Samuel Peter, Chris Byrd, Corrie Sanders.
Can someone check if there are any others?
Ross Purity, who knocked out Wladimir.

Idk chalzaghe and can't remember the name of the other champ that was around at that time okte or something but didn't they fight a lot of the same people ? I know he had like 20 some defenses and chalzaghe had a few more
Never heard of that guy, was that a fight people wanted to see?
