i was very dissapointed in butes performance, ppl say froches performance was outstanding but i think it was a very good one with lucian performing absolutely terribly..bute looked weak at the knees before the first bell rang and failed to let any shots go when the perfect counter opportunities presented themselves did bute freeze or was he exposed and outclassed???? what do you think??? also if the rematch where to happen would the outcome be the same????:boxing::damnit1::moon:
I also think he froze after feeling the power of froch early, but what i think did it for him was the fact that he hit froch with his best shot and nothing happened, he must have thought he couldnt do this all night, also with the crowd on top of things he just couldnt get himself into it.
Bute was exposed,
Froch just went forward at will, taking butes shots (not that many tbh) and smashed him to pieces.
Dont see the point in a re-match, the out come will be the same.
If Froch is an atg what is Ward the ****ing goat? lol
No. Froch has more signature wins than Ward. Ward just has Froch on his win list. It doesn't mean he has his resume.
this is what happens when you don't take on top level competition and then when you finally get in with Top Level Competition you look completely outclassed and out of your league

/ tread here.
Can't believe I missed this fight!! :lame: But what you gonna do, family stuff… Will have to wait for the fight to be uploaded
Wait till you see round 3 man-one of the most incredible rounds I have witnessed. Brutal.
Bute only fought froch because he was coming of a loss
He's a hypejob and i expect him his career to go down the same path as lacy after calzaghe fight or continue to fight bums
All credit to froch though, great performance
you're the second person I've seen mention something about his feet. What's the story behind this?
He apparently had 2 blisters on his feet which could have lead to an infection about a week before the fight.
3 or 4 days before fightnight, Bute's camp said the blisters had fully healed and caused no interuption to his training. No complaints.
I don't know what he was doing. He was clearly hurt after the second round and... honestly I think he just got straight scared afterwards.
I didn't see the fight. However, before I came online a few minutes ago to check the results, I said to myself that I would be surprised by any result short of a Froch KO. I was right. I have said all along that Bute was overhyped (the same thing I said about Ricky Hatton) and that as soon as he met a legitimate A-level opponent, he would be exposed. I was right. I have said the same thing about Julio Caesar Chavez and I will be proven correctly if he ever fights Sergio Martinez.
No need for a rematch. Bute will get schooled in Canada also, unless he gets a Canadian ref who will find an excuse to disqualify Froch after he KO's Bute again.

Not taking anything from Froch's power because he does have power. I won't say he's the most powerful at 168 and 175. With that said, Bute doesn't take shots well from a championship level guy. I don't think he'll do well against the known hitters at 168 & 175. In fact, he can forget about 175. Another thing I noticed about Bute is that he is using the Philly-shell but not very well. In order to use that style you have to have very good reflexes and you have to put yourself in position to let it work for you. Once he was on the ropes, he didn't use the shoulder roll and he didn't respond with under and over shots - upper-cuts and left hooks. That's the beauty of the style. Look at James Toney and Floyd use this style and compare with what Bute did.

Floyd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK9en6g9JTQ
Watch Dwight Qawi...he has slightly different version of the Philly-Shell...Archie Moore "Mongoose" style, but watch him off the ropes - over and under with constant head movement and times his shots...Bute needs to do his homework.

Yes, Ward is a fucking goat. He is also a fucking boring cunt.
I don't find Ward boring-he exhibits high skill and brings the fight. He is a very versatile fighter...
I'm a fan of Froch as well, but you and I both know why Froch isn't keen on a rematch-Froch had moments where he not only got stunned, but looked confused and extremely desperate...it wasn't even close.
Saying all that, I was happy as hell, cheering Froch on and watching Bute's hype get ended by the 2nd best SMW.

He was caught in the 3rd and never recovered, he basically was confused by Froch akward style

I think from the very moment Froch punched him he felt desperate...notice that he was looking for that uppercut by the 2nd round in this fight-normally he waits til the mid rounds to sneak it in.
Bute's frenetic footwork and movement was flat tonight, possibly because of two things-
1-the hometown "advantage" really played on his mind-which is why he needed to simulate that atmosphere while he was training...he just didn't look focused or smooth.
2-Froch started off faster than normal while Bute never got into his rhythm. Bute didn't use any movement and just stood in front of Froch desperately looking for a counter uppercut...which never really stunned Froch the few times it landed.
Bute has relied so heavily on his left uppercut, that he has forgotten the other tools needed on the elite world stage. He has looked for the uppercut since his rematch with Andrade. Also, Bute has never really learned defense at all, when he gets hurt,he tried to do weak clinches or just stand in one place and cover with a loose guard...
I see a rematch going similar-if he cannot ko Froch, then Froch will ambush him, overwhelm him and take him out...
The realisation that he was stood across from the ATG that is the Cobra caused him to fear for his safety and well-being and let do a quick job on him instead of suffering a long and sustained beating.
If Froch is an atg what is Ward the ****ing goat? lol
When you get hurt early it can zap your confidence, your game plan goes out the window. I think that's what happened.
Also Froch put it on him with a vengeance.
this fight proved that the saying "styles make fights" has to be taken with a grain of salt....stylewise, bute would've schooled froch..but thats not how the game works;there are other huge factors why skills dont always pay the bills and things have to be considered..like mental toughness, personailties of fighters, determination, discipline , etc....
having said that, froch outclassed bute fair and square.
