Ward has never fought a top level fighter outside of the US. In the first fight Ward had home advantage on US soil so it would only be fair and logical to hold the rematch with Froch in the UK.
Froch is a champ once again now and the Ward rematch is probably the biggest money fight out there for both of them at this stage. Now if I remember correct this would be the first time ever that Ward will fight in Europe as a pro. Pressure could get to him in unfamiliar surroundings, he's spent nearly his entire career fighting at home.
So Froch vs Ward in Nottingham UK, who takes it?
The first Ward vs Froch fight was like having a football team play a game than come out and play a fresh team. Ward had the least amount of miles in the Super 6 he had all the home field advantage had a bye basically he had all the advantage it was set up that way. While Froch had the more difficult fights had no bye and his body was basically burnt out.by the time the final came. If you can't see that than you must be a fool
thats not what i saw. i saw a guy who couldn't handle the style of ward. but if you wanna make believe that froch lost because he had tougher fights then that's fine
real boxing fans that understand boxing know this is just one style owning another style, froch doesn't have the style to give ward problems let alone beat him
If Carl won 1 more round in the 1st fight it would have been a draw. Casnt get closer than that.
If he can comes close in Amercia then it wouldnt surprise me to see Carl take a close decision in Nottingham. We know Ward isnt winning by KO for sure.
Froch couldnt win even if Arum was promoting him.
:lol1::lol1:
Ward beats Froch again and again and again and again!!...but Froch sons everybody else in the dvision though IMO!!
Yeah, dude is insanely good, just a complete all around fighter.
He said they didn't even know he fractured his hand at first, the doctor diagnosed it as a deep tissue bruise or something like that. He said his hand was hurting so bad that it hurt to just hit the mitts! Even wrapping his hand hurt him. He finally found out his hand was indeed fractured, but still dominated.
You can just imagine what a fully healthy Ward would do to Froch.
he did well but i think it could be a different fight if its Froch home field advantage this time, with Ward still winning but possibly a much closer fight.
holy****t, ward beat maybe his nearest competitor with one hand..
duno if mayweather cud pull that off, holy ****.
when im watching ward, i no im watching a great athlete

Take the title from the champ is the stupidest sh1t I've heard in boxing. To beat the champ or anybody you need to have more points then they do. You don't get extra point for being the champ.
Would you ever say that to a fighter you were training?
lolz it'a like asking who would win in a rematch between joe calzaghe and jeff lacy back in 06
No its not because Calzaghe didn't have home field advantage in the first fight, he beat Lacy on his own ground the first time around. Froch clearly lost to Ward in the first fight, but he didn't have home field advantage, Ward did.
And comparing Froch to Jeff Lacy just doesn't work. Froch would have probably KO'd that version of Lacy in 9 rounds or under IMO. Lacy was never an elite fighter, he was always a hyped up bum.
Ward's victory over Froch is much more impressive than Calzaghe's victory over Lacy.

Yeah, I don't agree with it either which is why I scored Dirrell winning the fight. But it's the way things have always been, especially when you fight a champ at on his home field.
I had Dirrell winning that fight but his constant hugging didn't do him any favors and it caused him to lose rounds he could have won. You're supposed to take the title from the champ, not try and hug the champ to death. Still, being completely objective I scored it for Dirrell. But the way I score, I usually overlook any championship and treat it like any ordinary fight which is something that the judges probably didn't do. Like I say, Dirrell didn't rip the title away from the champ.

Dirrell somewhere looking at this thread shaking his head. He clearly beat froch and got robbed.

You guys aren't tired of making this silly little argument?
Do you know how big america is? The distance between Oakland (Ward's real hometown) and Atlantic City is about the same as the distance between Nottingham and Cairo. I guess Egypt should be considered Froch's home turf. :lol1:
You guys can't seriously be suggesting that Ward didn't have home advantage fighting in his own country? Just because USA is a massive country, they still fought inside the USA. The size of the USA is irrelevant, Ward still fought at home.
Talk about clutching and straws. A direct comparison would be like saying if Froch vs Ward happened in Scotland, instead of England, then neither Froch nor Ward would have home advantage, even though Scotland is still a part of the UK (but technically it's a different country to England).
I think some hardcore Ward fans must be really embarrased that he's had home advantage so often they're trying to imagine that another part of the USA is somehow foreign land just so they can say Ward didn't have home advantage. Sure, if Ward was fighting another US fighter away from Oakland then you can say it's not home advantage. But he fought a UK fighter on US soil, he obviously did have home advantage. . You guys surely can't be that desperate as to try and claim that it was somehow neutral territory, even though it's the same country Ward was born, while Froch was born in a completely different country.
You guys are funny.
They could have this fight on the moon with only Nottingham residents flown up there for the fight and no Americans allowed. Ward would still win. Different league.
Now Kessler-Froch 2, that will be a good fight. Kessler has faded and injuries have taken a toll. I would favor Froch in that one now.
