I see controversy

The ref did a bad job. I know the commentators were saying he was super close to the action, and he should have gave Bute a hard warning for doing all of that clinching while he was hurt.

Fair stoppage. Everyone was on top of the ring waiting to enter. The referee waved his hands in the same motion when someone waves it off. Hearn was already in the ring before the referee began counting. No controversy here. Take one of these. :bottle:

Bute's corner retired him anyway so it doesn't matter. Even a sport as corrupt as Boxing wouldn't commit a travesty like taking away Froch's win.

Froch's promoter eddie hearn entered the ring during the count. similar to the molina kirkland fight where molina was dq'd. what you think, froch still gonna get the win? no controversy. the referee waved the fight off then started counting. stupid ref.

The confusion was solely due to the ref, who waved the fight off. Not to mention the guy jumped in every time Bute was about to get sparked.

Rules are rules thats a disqualification..... The ref waived the fight off first then started counting, no contreversy at all, stop trying to take away that 4 round ass whooping Bute took.

I also thought he stopped the fight until I saw the replay. I want Froch to win but if the promoter enters the ring during a world championship fight, I fear they are going to disqualify him. However Bute may rather avoid Froch and try to pick up another title.

The controversy though is that the fight wasn't stopped yet, I don't think he waved his hands off and was still counting when Hearn ran in. Same controversy, but they'll still run with their decision.... Bute was getting killed.... he'll file a complaint though. He did the gesture. Not a full-on wave, but he waved.

The ref used the wrong signal there. For a standing 8, you pull the fighter off and count, you dont wave it off. He waved it off, then it looks like he decided to give Bute a chance. Refs fault.

Common sense should prevail as a Bute fan i would'nt want too see this being overturned Carl rocked him with every power shot.
