He mentioned this in his interview broadcast today on BBC Radio 1 which can be heard here http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/b01hpmgg at around the 2 hours 8 minutes mark (the whole interview is worth listening to and he's nice enough to read out movie quotes for a game the presenters then play).
Puts Floyd to shame and to an extent Pac. Both harping on about how much they deserve and Floyd discussing the $100m mark in the past.
Wlad isn't just offered it, he turns it down!
Damn he could have agreed with Vitali to just go in there lightly and treated it like sparring. It wouldn't have been any more boring than Pac-Mosley or Floyd-Baldomir or some of their own fights.
In terms of the Haye-Chisora fight being between two losers. I guess that's true seeing as they both lost to the Klitschkos.
But if Haye and Chisora are respectful post-fight then it could be very good for the sport- it injects a lot of much needed excitement and shows the proper way to settle scores is like a man in the ring and accept the result whatever way it goes. So I disagree with Wlad on that, so long as Haye and Chisora aren't *******s after the fight.
Hard to believe.
If Waldimir is getting 100m, then Vitali is getting 100+mil.
Theres just no way there is that much money on the table for the fight.
Vlad is MUCH more popular then Vitali
If any fighters go into a fight to purposefully do that they shouldnt receive 1 penny
rahman v barrett was the last bout I had the feeling this possibly could have happened. yes, i actually paid for that ppv for some reason.
