So....is Amir Khan back to having a glass chin?

His chin is below average, but I wouldnt call it glass.

More like many don't feel he has truly proven them wrong, and the people he is in consideration of fighting like Ortiz, Berto, Peterson, and plenty more like Mayweather and Pacquiao, all have Great to decent pop in their punches..

It was a close call but I voted no because glass chin is a little to strong of term and his ability to take a punch is not that bad. But it is not that good either. It is a weakness for a world class fighter and they seem to keep him away from big punchers as much as possible. Prescott really tagged him and lots of other guys would have gone down from that shot. But his recovery seemed very slow and he was so wobbly that I think he has a problem. If he wants the glass jaw label to go away he should rematch Prescott. Maidana hurt him bably but Cortez kept slowing things down way to much letting Khan recover. You can't do much about a fighter's ability to take a punch and Khan is stuck with a mediocre chin just like Wladimir so he has to fight carefully. But his chin is not bad enogh to be called glass in my opinion.

I will agree in one sense though, Khan should rematch Prescott. I understand Prescott has a few losses now and that tell's the entire story, he's not very good. Khan can certainly go on without the rematch, but I believe top fighters should try to avenge their L's. Mitchell already showed how easy it can be to beat Prescott if you use your brain and some movement. Agree. Would love to see a Prescott - Khan rematch.

weak chins really don't improve by taking more hits to them, like Roy Jones Jr for example, I think the Chin was always WEAK, but Speed and Reflexes is what protected that WEAK CHIN for years! With Khan I think the Chin is still weak, I don't give a ***** bout taking shots from Maidana, Maidana is slow so he could basically see most of Maidana shots coming before they land and Maidana still wobbled Khan many of times and Joe Cortez saved Khan and stopped the action for no reason...Prescott hit him with something he did not see coming and he could not recover from it...this is why I think he has a fear of fight Prescott again, it has more to do with Prescott STYLE not going down from something you see coming does not mean you no longer have a "WEAK CHIN", most fighters can brace themselves for the hits they see coming, its those hits you don't see coming that test your chin, for example, Mosley's hit on Mayweather, Kessler hit on Allan Green, Kendall Holt shot on Timothy Bradley, Pacquiao knock downs of JMM...those are shots you don't see coming, some guys recover and/or jump back up and find a way to win, other stay down or the get back up wobbled and can't recover
