if this fight does 1 million, it means pac will have outsold Floyd by 1.5 million, in 17 less months which makes floyd's no split offer look like even more of a duck.
U do releases that since mayweather de la Hoya, mayweather has had 6 fights n done 8.6million ppv buys at an average of 1,433,000 buys per fight. In that time (since may 2007) manny has had 10 ppv fights n done 8,950,000 ppv buys at an average of 895,000 buys per fight.

That's the nature of the sport right now.
So-called boxing fans want Pac to fight Bradley. When he does, they'll pray hard the fight fails in the box office. All because of the lord savior. Lord savior might lose in the ppv battle.
800k-1 mil
If he does anything less then he really is not as big as they say he is. Then again, not many people know bradley. I'm not even planning on ordering this fight, and I order plenty of them throughout the year.
He did like 700k with Clottey, so that speaks for itself.
As for this... I'd say yes
I doubt it. If Bob Arum says it did whatever amount and there was absolutely no word from HBO, I won't believe it.
Bradley, though I like him, has NO FANS. No casual fans hardly know who Timothy Bradley is. So if HBO is silent or says it looksl ike it's under 1 million, and than Bob Arum comes out and says it did 1.2-1.3 million, or over 1 million for that matter, No way in hell I'm buying that.
It'll do better than Clottey though (700-750K). But I don't see why it would even approach Pac-Margarito (1.15M) or out sell Pac-Hatton (850K). I'm guessing it'll do around what Pac-Hatton did.
Of course Mayweather-Ortiz surprised me. I don't think HBO released the 1.25M but they did report a week or two after the fight that it did well above 1 million, so it wasn't hard to imagine 1.25M after HBO saying that. HBO didn't say anything about Pac-Mosley or Pac-JMM III, which makes me very skeptical of those numbers.
If HBO doesn't say a word and Bob Arum says the fight did 1.1-1.2M, how in the world could anyone buy that???
yes. i dont think it's going to be close to 1.5, though, as cotto and mayweather were able to do
i think pacquiao has lost his luster some
he hasnt ricky hattoned anybody in a while, and that's what really sells pacquiao tix and ppvs. he's all offense. against the right opponent he's half of a guaranteed great fight.
floyd never hattoned people. his popularity comes from what he does outside of the ring.
if manny beats up bradley (who is young, prime, slick enough, and going to bring it,) it will be a statement
if he lacks luster again he's going to have trouble reaching his old level of popularity without floyd mayweather.
Bradley hasn't had any real exposure. At least he is getting a 24/7 and they are trying to sell the fight like an undefeated young gun.
It should do better than the Clottey fight numbers
Other than the Marquez bout, I'm not convinced Manny has done a million buys in a long, long time.
This. I don't see a million, the buzz for this fight is pretty low from what I can tell.
You gotta review the PPV Buys of Pacman Past Fights, his last fight against Marquez did well.
Considering that Bradley is undefeated African- American Boxer, I expect his fellow Americans to support him and the fight.
"Tim Bradley is a tremendous fighter and a great young man. The problem with Tim Bradley is, while me and you know that he is a superb fighter, the public doesn't know. So while these promoters are shouting out names, of very good fighters, I consider them to be free-riders," Arum said.
wonder what changed his mind....... If it does over 1 mill its because Arum released the numbers and not HBO,
