17 Year old Khan or 19 Year old Mayweather

everybody slows down, khan has slowed down a bit since moving up to 140, he was super fast at 135. He kinda slowed down after maidana fight, u never can tell, but maybe those maidana shots took something from khan. that was a war. khan lots about 25% foot speed from being an amature, but that comes with being a professional, nobody prob would pay to see him run and bounce as he did when he was an amature. should be interesting to see floyds next fight see if he gets faster feet again.

Khan is EXTREMELY WILD, he still fights like that actually, he comes charging forward with that excellent Speed but when he misses he gets very sloppy and starts to grab and stumble all over the place

Khan's career until he met Roach was falling apart. He'd been wobbled and dropped by some C-class fighters and bums. Prescott flattened him. He was a superb amateur but clueless in the pro game, and since moving to the Wildcard he has morphed from a knockout-waiting-to-happen (well, had happened) into a world class fighter. Roach should be applauded, lauded for Khan's progress. These boards are filled with ignorance. I have been watching boxing a long time and as for Khan I have been watching him before the Olympics so try not to judge my boxing knowledge you don’t know me!! Roach is the most over rated trainer I know of, name me one boxer who he has picked off as a kid and molded him into an elite boxer. Paquiao was already a world champion rated to be a huge prospect, as for Khan a silver medalist and same as Paquaio hot property in his native country. Khan was young and weight drained that’s why he was being wobbled by non-punchers. Do you think Roach magically made him get a decent chin? Khan’s boxing abilities, all wrong for coach Roach!!!

IDK if its fair to pick Floyd's worst Olympic trials fight to compared to a Khan KO. Seems a lil biased

khan was even f*cking worse as an amateur all he had was speed, technically he was awful. his footwork now is hideous but then it was far worse

What I find really interesting is that Khan is less square on as an amateur and his stance was much better. With Floyd it is the opposite he was more square on. Boxing skills wise having watched this footage I would have expected Khan to be a lot better than he is now. Khan had a great amateur style and has not really developed a full economical pro style yet. With Floyd you can see he had a pro style already when he was an amateur and was already thinking about the future ahead. Agree with you on everything what you said Mr Mongo...

i agree roach is ovverated, i think he should have got with steward. Sweet thinking on the same page.. From my understand Roach has never picked up a boxer from scratch! That is another reason why i think hes over rated imo Ingle is better then him!

khan was a great amteur with a few losses, mayweather had around 8 losses i think, going by what i see in that vid khan would have outpointed him by wide margin. khn was better amateur then pro imo. No doubt Khan was a beast as an am but still think he would of been better with someone like a Emanuel, Mayweather Sr even brother Nazim. Roach I don't rate...
