Basilio, Duran, Whitaker, Hearns, Trinidad, Griffith, Armstrong, Walker? Should he be mentioned in the same breath as these guys if he retired TODAY?
WW isn't Floyd's best weight, but his body of work and ultimately the public recognition (this actually counts) means that YES he is prob ranked in with guys like this. At the same time though it's important to recognise that he is ranked in the pack at 147, but not at the top.
Floyds ww run is underated
titles won(or fought for or won and didnt pay fees)wba,wbc(2times)ring,ibf,ibo,iba,lineal champ
beat Judah-former lineal champ
baldo lineal champ
Mosley-wba champ
ortiz-wbc champ
hatton-former wba champ
man had a nice ww run,won every title except the WBO
Its kinda a weird question because his best weight clearly isnt WW, but thats the case for most of those guys on your list. I wouldnt put him in the same group as Hearns & Walker at WW. I might wouldnt put him in the same group as Tito in terms of accomplishments at the weight although I think he could beat Tito. I would put him in the group with the other guys at that weight though
