I'm a fan of boxing, but i'm also a big Marquez fan and I want to see Marquez get what he asks for. If he doesn't want Morales, too bad. If he wants Gesta, give him Gesta.

We all know Morales still has some gas in the tank. I mean, we all said he was done and would get put away by Maidana - but what happened- Morales outboxed Maidana with one eye. Granted, Maidana won on points by the sheer volume of punches - but Morales gave Maidana a boxing lesson and was the peoples champ that night. but Maidana cant box and is a face first brawler

If Morales scored the Marquez fight, I see him producing one last great fight for the fans.....

I was originally against Marquez-Morales but I actually would rather see that than Marquez completely destroy Mercito Gesta... I mean, Morales is old and all, but so is Marquez. Obviously Marquez still has a lot more left in the tank when compared to Morales, but I still think the fight would be semi-competitive AKA: More competitive than Marquez/Gesta... Of course there's always Rios ready to pounce, and Arum is high on Rios vs Marquez so we'll see.

Give it up people. JMM never let any promoter, or fans for that matter, pick fights for him. He picks his own fights. If you do, you'll gonna have to let him dictate the terms. He'll demand unreasonable amounts of money. He will never budge. He'd rather travel in far-away lands as far as Indonesia and accept a humiliating sum of money. If his fights start showing little profit in the box office, he will beg for a Pac fight and wear protest T-shirts till he gets what he wants. I have no qualms with this fight as long as Morales comes in 100%. Have him get in as best shape as he can and make the weight limit, assuming that he's healed up fully from the surgery. Morales should retire after this fight.

I really really really don't want to see this bull****. Marquez is sharp enough to beat the p4p #2 in the world. Morales had trouble with Pablo Cesar Cano and he has the body of a 70 year old. Maidana was his last stand. You want a Mexican war at Arlington? Get Barrera-Morales IV and Marquez-Rios signed as a double-header. :boxing:

He did great against Maidana. He showed how great he is that night. Being shot and giving a Top 140 Lber a tough fight. He lost the fight though. Me being the fan I am of Morales had my fan glasses on and had him winning but after re-watching the fight, despite the valiant effort, he lost the fight reasonably clearly. As for Garcia, again, showed his greatness once again but again, he lost, clearly. And these are fighters that are frankly, nothing special. Marquez is one of the best fighters in the world at the moment. One of the Top P4P level fighters. I'll take never. Ok, we get it. You don't think Morales is good enough for Marquez at this stage in his career. You've made your point, no need to repeat yourself son. Well, I disagree. I believe Morales has enough in him to give Marquez the fight of his life. Morales has made some bad career choices in his life and was put together in bouts that don't match stylistaclly - not only that, but he has been slacking off in preparation for bouts as well, fighting at only 50% sometimes. I believe styles make fights, and if Morales prepared 100% for a Marquez showdown - he would have a chance at beating him.

if morales is gonna keep on fighting he should go after someone like provodnikov. i think thats a winnable fight for him and would be an entertaining match-up. decent ppv undercard fight. while i think gesta kinda sucks and i have no interest in him or seeing him succeed (F top rank hypewagons), i want marquez to rid us of that guy. theres already enough hyped fighters getting soft touches on ppv/hbo undercards. throw him to the wolves!

I'd say Morales would give Marquez the fight of his life - styles make fights and this would be one for the ages...... Morales could use the best PED's in the history of Planet Earth. It won't change the fact he's shot to pieces and has been for years. He belongs no where near a Top level P4P fighter. No where near.
