Canelo VS Ortiz sounds good

True this sucks for ortiz! 2 training camps for nothing! Not all bad, Ortiz was coming off a ko loss. Might be better for his career that this happened.

id like this fight, Ortiz and the June 23 card is still ON, maybe he can fight Vanes on June 23 and then move up to 154 on Setp 15 for Canelo, take on Mayweather in a rematch!

i dont know why everyone is hyping up canelo.. i realized that this forum is full of bandwagon riders.. nonetheless, canelo HAS not impressed me at all.. In any of his fights.. he has stamina issues.. ortiz would beat him from pillar to post.. im not a canelo hater, just a realist.. GBP would also never match them up.. for the same reason they wont match up ortix vs khan.. khan is flashy, and fast, but hes a Pre-Madonna. GBP knows if he gets hit by vic, its LIGHTS out..

too soon to make. ortiz needs to be coming off good wins and gbp would need some good time to promote this. also, ortiz is fighting next on showtime, alvarez is an hbo fighter. this won't happen. at least i would hope not. alvarez should fight 154 lbers and ortiz should fight 147 lbers. maybe in the future when ortiz moves up this can be a possibility. ortiz should take some kind of tune up or stay busy fight against a decent 147 lber that showtime can approve of and then wait for gbp to try and make a fight with alexander or malignaggi happen later in the year.

Should be properly promoted with more time. Next year in September, put it in Vegas. With the animosity they seem to have towards each other, it could do some prety good numbers.
