This would be the 5 year Anniversary of Mayweather/Hatton and would be a huge event. Khan should get his belt back and rightful standing, thus adding luster back to the fight. My only question is who should Khan take on this summer in a stay busy fight?

If it happens, it's a B-/B fight, only because Khan hasn't fought at 147 yet. If Khanw ere to beat a Top WW first, like Alexander/Ortiz/Berto/Guerrero, than it'd be a much bigger fight.
Floyd fought Cotto's fight, but with Khan he will have to deal with some serious speed issues. Floyd fought inside because he allowed Cotto to bring the fight to him on the inside by laying on the ropes. The question is would Floyd fight the same as Peterson did by trying to catch punches to get inside, or would he try to sharp shoot him from the outside where he could be countered by that Khan speed?
Cotto cut the ring off on Floyd which Khan doesn't do. Floyd didn't choose to sit against the ropes on Cotto more than Cotto not giving Floyd time to keep his distance without necessarily walking straight at him. Khan is fast, but makes a lot of defensive mistakes and seems to get hit with the same punches. I think Floyd figures him out easier and quicker than he did with Cotto.
Khan doesn't fight in that manner and would be totally different approach than Cotto's.

Only a few people though Cotto would put up as much resistance as he did a few weeks ago. I think Khan can push Mayweather much like Cotto, and finally setup the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight next summer.

You want to see Mayweather vs Khan for Dec 8th, but you only ask for Khan to take a stay busy fight to set up the fight? How about an actual legit summer show down with a very good top fighter to set up such an event with Floyd? Alexander or Garcia would be good.
I have zero arguments with your assessment of Alexander or Guerrero. I support both fighter whole heartily.
I have little interest in this fight because I know Khan would get dismantled (well that could be fun to watch) and it wouldn't even be competitive. Even Canelo puts up a better fight.

Fight the Berto/Ortiz winner first. If he can beat either, that would set up for the Mayweather fight.
I'm thinking Zaveck late summer, then on to Mayweather. Floyd still holds the WBC WW if I'm not mistaken, and could defend it against Khan. I would rather see Floyd fight the young guns sooner rather than later. Berto/Ortiz/Khan will have their time to fight each other after Mayweather retires.

wtf is going on with some peeps actually thinking khan is a viable fight for floyd? khan is C level at best, he has cookie cutter skills, and he can NOT adapt once taken out of his comfort zone. only thing he has is speed, which can be neutralized quite easily by any elite fighter. he is one dimensional, he gets embarrassed by mayweather in any way, shape, or form that floyd chooses.
Khan has more than a few things going for him...
1. Youth
2. Speed
3. Height Adv
3. Olympic Medalist/Former World Champ
4. Roach/Manny affiliation
6. Welcomes PED testing now with a back story
7. Fought in Vegas multiple times
8. Already has endorsement deals
9. Ducked by Timothy Bradley who may upset Pacquiao
10. A huge British fan base who will travel to support their fighter like they did on Dec 8th 2007
I say make it happen...

I actually think this is Floyd's next fight but the problem is he keeps talking about 140. If the Peterson fight is off then have your next fight at WW to justify the Floyd fight. Roach & Khan are still talking about having the fight at 140. Its dumb
