WBC ordered a rematch due to the scoring in that fight. I was thinking they were waiting until the tournament concluded but......Wonder what happened to that.
That was an ugly horrible fight. Wouldn't watch it again, but I remember after the ref warned him for holding in about the 10th or 11th round Dirrell started throwing heat. It looked like he had Froch hurt bad a few times but let his foot off the gas for some reason. I thought Dirrell won, but kind of upset because I think he could've stopped him if he kept throwing hard towards the end of the fight. Props to Ward though. Fought Froch and made him look terrible with one hand.
I don't think u can call it a robbery, lacy getting the decision against ccalzaghe would of been a robbery. That being said if the fight happened outside of England dirrell would of got the decision.
it was a robbery
but seeing it once was more than enough
that fight was boring, ugly, and gay
Dirrell was tongue punching Froch's scrotum all night
who cares that he got robbed?
not feeling sorry for him at all
Robbery? No. Might have gone the wrong way, but then Dirrell didn't make it definitive in the manner a fighter like Ward or Mayweather would carrying such an advantage in athleticism over an opponent. Dirrell left it on the table.
I had Dirrell winning think it was something like 8-4 but he could have done so much more to cement it.The word robbery in this sport is thrown around way too much these days
Scored it 6-5-1 for Dirrell. By no means a robbery.
I had the same score. Honestly Dirrell didn't win definitively enough to cry robbery. There were rounds were fuk all happened.
Both guys deserved to lose that fight.
****ing horrible to watch.
Lol exactly. Froch is an exciting warrior but put him up against a decent boxer and he will have difficulties.
It was a poor mans version of Mayweather/Hatton.
Froch is going to have a tough night against Bute. I can already hear Jim Watts annoying voice crying about the result.
I also think Froch got lucky that night, but I lost some respect for Dirrell the way he went about his business that evening. One of those fights i doubt i will watch again
Bit like Haye v Valuev but more conclusive. Froch was outboxed from start to finish, that's the worst I've ever seen him.
Froch looked bad indeed but he looked worse against Ward.
Not this crap again.....it's boxing, not track (all that running by Dirrell) or baseball (all that sliding into 2nd base Dirrell was doing). Fawk dat hoe.
