Well he has said numerous times that he will go pro after these Olympics...
For those of you who have watched him...What do you all think?
I mean the kid is amazing...He is a "slick slugger" lol, got a nice attitude about him.
Do you think he will make a good pro?
Personally I think he will either fail hard or succeed to epic proportions. I can see him grab multiple titles from lightweight to welterweight.
But I think the biggest obstacle can be his promotion...I really hope he does not get one of those ****ty east euro promoters that will protect him until the guy has 40 pro fights.
I have wrote one sentence and u have deduced i hate america lmfao!!
Bit overly sensitive mate.
you are not the only poster on boxing scene whose posts i have read
and assuming that his coming to america to box professional will "americanize" him has got to be at least as "overly sensitive."
again, why wouldnt you want him boxing here?
is not having him "americanized" worth compromising his pro career?
Not hating on him at all. He's a good talent but I thought Rameriz beat him(even with the knockdown).
Thats the first time i seen lomachenko get bullied around like that.
Hopefully ramirez gets revenge.
I don't think vasyl would look favourably on the idea of americanisation!
He'l do fine without you.
He likes money though ;) and fighting...the kid is a fighter through and through.
He could stay in Europe if he was bigger...but honestly at his weight, he needs to go to the US to fight good opposition.
do people really hate america enough to keep them from realizing that?

Warren did lose in the first round but it was due to his immaturity. The dude just coasted the last round, thinking he had won and in many peoples minds he did win, despite not doing anything for 3 minutes.dont hate on the greatness of lomachenko...he is considered the best in the world for a reason!!
Ramirez should of been awareded the victory over Lomachenko. Landed the more effective blows but Lomachenko snuck away with pitty pat shots.
It's painful to hear such nonsense. lomachenko is unbelievable talent, one of the best amateurs of all time time, possibly could be the best; record: 300+ fights, 1 defeat (brutally reneged), has gold in Olympics, World, Europe. If you compare him with Mayweather in amateurs - it's not even a contest.
Even now he's already a little old to go pro - 22 and yet they're still waiting.
Lomachenko is a good AM fighter but don't expect him to do much in the pros. He's under 25 though so unlike a lot of his countrymen he might have enough time to do something in the pro ranks. Lets not get this confused though, his talent is not on par with other Olympic standouts like Rigo
He's got the gold medals and he beat everyone, there can't be too much of an argument if someone claims that. Personally I think Vasyl Lomachenko is one of the best amateur I've ever seen, there is no weakness and his defense is better than Rigos. If Lomachenko wins another gold then carries on in the pro game with the same form we are gonna be seeing the a future great. I'm calling it early but I believe that. He has a cheeky, ****y side to him and he genuinely loves boxing, he's gonna be a showman and I can't see him losing the motivation to win.

Lets be honest,Germany, ukraine, russia or whatever over there. They
are only intersted in the big guys.Little guys dont get no love over
there.

lol
you understand that the best fighters come here to fight, and have for basically the entirety of the history of the sport?
we have the world's best trainers
sparring
local scenes (for building your guy's record and helping him learn how to box pro)
you earn more money here
it's a no brainer. you have a legit amateur pedigree?
why would you want to fight out your pro career anywhere else?
do people really hate america enough to keep them from realizing that?
I agree man, they should get him to US asap...But I think the kid wont go, he is building a house in his hometown just now, and it looks like he is all for staying around home which can ruin him...
Eh we'll see.....its really a mystery with this guy at pro...I don't think vasyl would look favourably on the idea of americanisation!
He'l do fine without you.
this will sound americocentric but i do not care
move to the united states
i've been hearing about this kid for a while now. if you want to be the best you can be you want to train, spar, and fight here. you want a promotor based over here.

Finally!!!!!!!! can wait to see this guy in the pro game, I know the pros are different but if he can develop the same way he did in the amateurs then we would have an amazing fighter on our hands.

we've seen the roadblocks that can come about if you start out in europe.
get him to the states and let him settle
get him in a major city with serious trainers and sparring
and top rank or goldenboy promotions most importantly
and no one else.
he's going to need a manager who has been with him for a while
the kid has a ton of talent, obviously. he's fast, powerful, confident, and he's got good skills. he looks very strong, but that's almost impossible to tell in amateur competitions where the rules against clinching are so strict.
he can make a great pro. he's not predestined to be a great pro. nobody is. but he can become one with the right people around him and obviously many years of hard work
He'll get PWN'T by the 1st slick African-American he comes across.
:usa2:Yes he must be ****ing himself at the zab judahs of this world!
Heres a slick african american for you:

Rau'shee Warren competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics
(when lomachenko won gold) Warren lost in the first round lol.
Your current #1 rated lightweight is Jose Ramírez. He is currently the number one rated amateur boxer at Lightweight in the U.S. Jose qualified to represent the United States at the 2012 Olympics by defeating 2008 Olympian Raynell Williams 21-16 in the finals of the 2012 United States Olympic Boxing Trials.
Lomachenko beat ramirez.
Val Baker Trophy winner.:
-Gold @ Featherweight @ 2008 Beijing Games
-Gold @ the 2009 world amateur championships.
-Gold @ the 2011 world amateur championships.
He is already considered one of the greatest amateurs of all time.
This guy tore the beijing games up, and has a very pro style to boot...This kid is special.
Funny thing is that he didnt turn pro because of money $$$
Because he promised to fight in 2012, he got an S-class, an evo, a condo and is building a house now...
Would of made more money going pro,Maybe been a champion already, been
famous already.Imo the hype has died down a lil with him.I just hope
he dont turn into another matt korobov.
Hadn't really seen much on him but had heard many good things about him, so I started watching some footage of him. Looks like a nice prospect indeed! 24 is a bit of a late start but the way I see it, titles come and go, the money comes and goes, but you're the Olympic gold medalist forever.
