Huge fan of boxing and have been.
As I said I don't enjoy sluggers. Simple, I don't think he was that great of a boxer regardless of what weight he moved to, and I think that boxers of that era get too much credit based on Nostalgia.
I think Mayweather - Pacquiao - Roy Jones JR - Hopkins - Mosley - ODLH
all in their primes would have given any ATG a close fight.
Hate this attitude that DURAN WOULD DESTROY MAYWEATHER. If you really have boxed and understand boxing, no, no he wouldnt.
man, you must educate yourself first about the guys you try to put down so you can defend the point you are trying to make...
no offense, you are posting stupid things...
People confuse infighters with sluggers... If you truly understood boxing they way u claim, you'd be able to see Duran's skill...
Marcos Maidana, SLUGGER... Dependent only on his chin and power.... No skill, no technique, just walk forward and throw punches
Roberto Duran, infighter... Gets to the inside either by jabbing or slipping punches... Throws specific punches while inside, not just wild power shots... Slips and counters punches on the inside... Despite the close quarter combat, infighters rarely get hit flush... Which you'd see if u knew boxing
Watch Duran Hagler and tell me Duran can't box
Point is i can't believe anyone who is suppose to be a fan of the sport would even have to ask this question.............how can Duran NOT be an ATG?
^^^^^^^This.
Floyd was just beginning his pro career
I didn't say he fought at 106 in his pro career, did I?
Yup, it's an argument, and an opinion of many.
Where did you get this snippet from:
2. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Professional Fight-by-Fight Record. 1993. Michigan State Golden Gloves Champion, 106 pounds.
.
You also said he came up from 106. i guess Arreola came up from 147, I'll have to revisit my p4p.
On Judah, terrible argument, you might as well say Judah is overrated by many. You know, by those that have him as all time anything. He was once as contender for all time washout, but he bowed out of that race
Well thats what your dumbass did. You said that most analyst rank Tyson hgher than Lewis and then you post a ranking written during EARLY 90sbefore Lewis had his best wins.
Infact, I didn't so again, you are a clueless cunt.
Back in 94 they were both fighting in their primes, with Tyson rated alot higher.
Tyson therefore was the better fighter, Lewis fought bums to get to the top.

Read the date on that by the way, Lewis still not in his prime?
You have as much boxing knowledge as a goldfish on cocaine.
So basically you are saying Lewis didnt dominate it when Tyson was dominating it only when Tyson went to jail and Lewis was dominating bums?
Well thats what your dumbass did. You said that most analyst rank Tyson hgher than Lewis and then you post a ranking written during EARLY 90sbefore Lewis had his best wins.
Your parents must be siblings. That like arguing that Emile grffith is ranked higher that Leonard at welterweght according to most analyst and posting rankings written prior to Leonards domination of the WW division

Tyson was in his prime at early 90's
Lewis is older than Tyson, so he should of been proving it.

Then Tyson wasnt in his prime anymore. And Lewis has yet to prove sh1t at that time.

If you read the argument you absoulete dribbler, we were talking about Tyson and Lewis in their primes which was WHEN?
EARLY 90's?
Now either read the thread, or **** off.

Zab could never have beaten Tszyu in his prime. Zab didn't lose his concentration, he got knocked out by Tszyu's laser right hand.
LOL, would Tszyu beat Mayweather aswell?
I did say, he's not disciplined.
His skillset should of easily allowed him to beat Tszyu.
Speed, Power and good general boxing skills.
Mentally, he just loses his concentration and goes to sleep.

At that time in ODLH career he was not the same Oscar. He just wasn't. He was long in the tooth and running on fumes. Admit it and move on.
Did you see his punch output?
Ring magazine rankings during the early 90's dumb sh1t

Are you serious?
It was a split decision win for Floyd.
He didn't turn old, floyd figured him out
and he fought at his own comfortable weight and using the 10oz gloves, and gave mayweather pillows.
ODLH had the advatanges, not Floyd.
ODLH is of low quality? are you serious?
