His earning power makes his PRICE GO UP meaning that he likely ask for a lot if you want him to endorse your product...that is why he is not on EA Sports Boxing Video game, because Mayweather don't come cheap and he wants a % of Sales

if mayweather didnt act the way he does his fight purse would be less than 10million dollars a fight. Other than heavyweights african american fighters arent really massive money makers, look at mosley he was p4p n beat de la hoya twice but his biggest ever purse is less than 10million. He makes about 40million a fight n i dont think sponsorship deals would pay him more than 30million a year considering less people would watch his fights.

Given his off field incidents you can see why companies wouldn't want him as their sponsor. Typically they want athletes with clean slates. PBF says too many controversial things and gets into trouble with the law too frequently.

Where as with ATT&T, wtf does that have anything to do with anything pertaining to floyd??? That's like having shaq endorse computer chips. Wtf would that do for them? sammysosa, at 20 million plus, per fight, it shouldn't be about how much scratch, Floyd "Money" Mayweather makes, but how much money, Floyd Mayweather Jr., keeps...Iron Mike Tyson, earned enough money in his boxing career to retire and live comfortably...but Iron Mike Tyson, wanted to spend his money recklessly, on bengal tigers, mazerati's, custom made pimp suits, etc. and in the process, squandered a fortune, that he would only make, in the prime of his boxing career...sammysosa, we read all the time about celebrities, and pro athletes, going broke and filing for bankruptcy, because they think the money is never going to stop rolling in, my man...and floyd "money" mayweather jr., with the expensive cars, jewelry, and mob-style gambling habits, is a prime candidate...Very true. Holyfield is just as bad as Tyson an maybe worse. He made even more more money than Tyson and apparently is still fighting to pay his bills and child support. Because of his worldwide fame,Tyson can make a good living off of personal appearances. Holyfield can do the same to a lesser degree.

That's why I'd rather not see him fight Paquiao. I don't think he deserves the kind of money he's demanding. With the kind of reluctance he's been displaying in this fight, I think he'll just run like Mosley and cash out.

in a way that's true. floyd never tried to develop the mayweather brand but that's his choice. maybe he didn't realize the importance of that because he's still fighting. michael jordan, even after he retired is still earning a lot of money off his name. that's something you can't expect with floyd. he's still one of the highest paid athletes in the world though.

true dat!!!!!!! jtiger777, all fighters, who are really pulling in that major cheddar, should be looking at how iron mike tyson, squandered a fortune (and then some) in boxing...iron mike tyson, probably earned close to 100 million in the ring, before he was incarcerated, then signed a 300 million dollar contract, with don king, when he was released from prison...its safe to say, that iron mike tyson, isn't worth half of what he has earned totally in the ring, and don king, is probably worth 2X as much since he gave iron mike tyson that contract...so do the math on that one..lol what today's fighters have to realize about boxing is, your career is very short, and boxing has no pension plan, so you have to have a serious reserve of cash, if the only thing you know how to do in life, is box (word)

this is not like Arum talking saying his ppv did this and he won't open his books, the 1.5 million for Mayweather/cotto is backed by HBO it's official and the 94 million is just PPV at ether 60 or 70 depending on whether you buy it in hd or not so add the gate which was what 11 mill or something like that, then you have to count all the other revenue which they havent reported, movie theatre, closed circuit, etc, etc so fight grosses over 100million+ Floyd gets paid from everything.
