Gabriel Montoya @Gabriel_Montoya
I'm told that Lamont Peterson's T/E ratio was not only under the Nevada allowed 6:1, it was under WADA's approved 4:1 T/E ratio. #boxing
The only reason he was caught was that VADA uses Carbon Isotope Ratio testing, which WADA doesn't use unless a T/E ratio is found to be over the limit. This means anyone using Peterson's method in a Floyd fight wouldn't have tested positive.
cheating this way does it have long term effect??? so this dudes can be pointed out later, pacman has always been seen funny so bad ass like tyson n tyson has been a big small guy since a kid
I agree, I think it should be legalized. I think that's the only way that you can truly guarantee an equal level playing field.
However, as of right now it isn't legalized. So better testing it is.
Can I change my guess to 80?
So now these Floyd haters are claiming Floyd probably does PED's. OHHHHH MY GAWWWWD!
What accusing someone of taking PEDs without shred of evidence?
Is that a bad thing now?
the city not the feds. much like an individual hiring a third party consultant to review something a crooked fed inspector claimed was wrong.
when i say government i'm not just referring about the feds...cities have government too you smartass.
and that individual you're talking about even if he hires a private consultant he would still have to go through the appropriate and lawful government agency to file a complaint and settle his disagreement with anybody who wronged him. he can not take it upon himself to bring the justice he wants.
This is why Ive been saying even the olympic/standard style blood and urine tests are not enough.
They dont test for the amount of testosterone only if an external source is present and a ratio of T-E.Naturally epitestosterone levels start to increase in males in their 30s yet testosterone levels start to decline.
Also there are ways too increase epitestosterone levels too mask a abnormally high over the top range of testosterone so the T-E ratio testing is flawed and have been for decades yet no one gives a damn.
The total testosterone serum ng/dl test is what anti aging doctors use to verify total testosterone levels. The normal range is 250ng/dl-1100ng/dl.
Not one single testing agency out there does this test, why?
Too expensive, inconvenient and takes up too much time.
yeah but do you know who commissioned the private security firm? is it the airport management/government or the airport patrons? obviously it's the government. that's what i'm talking about...there are some things that people can not self-regulate even in a democratic country.

Who have caught more people to fail an IQ test? Nevada.
Again stupid do you not see the problem with 6:1 T/E ratio?
:pat:
You can't fail an IQ test. What your IQ by the way, i'm guessing around 90.
T/E aren't the be all and end all to PEDs you know.
If his T/E ratio is 5:1, WADA/USADA would find out. Because of their 4:1. While Nevada wouldn't know since they still do 6:1.
Yeah he was probably cycling of a couple of months ago.
Marion Jones was pre 2005, in 2005 WADA/USADA change their T/E ratio rule to 4:1. Nevada still uses 6:1
Even California uses 4:1. That means in California you can be 5 and a half times above normal and be busted while in Nevada and New York that same sample would be seen as clean.
Plus knowing when the testing comes is a lot more easier to beat than random testing.
Like I said to fail a Nevada test is failing an IQ test.
Who has caught more cheats Nevada or California?
in san fran they have a private security firm run checkpoints a the airport its better than the tsa. in a democracy choice is key.

wow so many still trying to debunk the testing and hate on floyd at the same time. They hate it that he was the one who brought this to the forefront and now boxing got hit in the face with it and they are arguing that "his" style test wouldnt have caught Peterson. And by the way it is not his it is WADA and USADA testing.
Im rejoicing that the sport i love had its eyes opened to PED's and instead of supporting the idea these clowns are happy it wasnt "Floyds way". :bryce:
it is what it is...if you don't like your local police force it doesn't mean you can create your own private army.
but in the commission's case, they're not even like that. they're flexible...they're not stopping any athletes from pursuing better testing. i'm just saying that no athlete should self-govern when it comes to drug testing.

"We are OK to move off USADA," Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, who is representing Mayweather, told ESPN.com. "What we're saying, and what is important to us, is four things -- that the tests be random, that they include blood and urine and the time frame, meaning when do you stop the tests before the fight but know they will still be effective. Three of them we have agreed on -- random, blood and urine. So now it is a matter of the two sides working out the specifics of the cutoff date to assure it will still be effective."
