I Think If Mayweather Does Not Get A Deal With Pacquiao He Should Fight Cotto Again To My View It Was A Very Exiting Hard And Competitive Fight Plus i Think Cotto Deserves A Rematch Do To His Great Great Performance and the controversy with the judges card what do you guys think???
Why? It wasn't that competitive...
Cotto won 3 maybe 4 rounds, why would we want to see the same thing happen again?
No thanks, Cotto made a great show of it, props to him but I want to see Cotto fight Canelo. Let's make that fight happen!!!
I also wanna see Cotto vs Canelo, and if the redhead wins, he can fight Mayweather :D
Floyd already beat Cotto, and everyone would agree with this except Pacquiao fans of course, in their eyes Cotto-May was much closer than Marquez-Pac.
Good entertaining fight wouldn't mind see these two go at it again.

ACtually he said very clearly Bob Arum is standing in the way before he said take the test stuff.
what does arum have to do with how he wants the split. he doesnt want the fight. he's using arum as his last duckmove card, coz he knows pac's still on a contract.
UNCONFIRMED PPV Estimate for Mayweather-Cotto
An industry friend who normally gives me the nums said that the buyrate definitely seems less than the 2 million Schaefer was talking about (no surprise there).
Her quote:
"But the numbers are strong....well above the Ortiz fight. Probably in the 1.45-1.6 million range."
Also, remember that the unit cost was higher.
Take it for what you will. I'll post updated data for those interested as I get it.
Floyd has three-ish fights left in his career. I don't want to see those "wasted" on guys he has already beaten, and would beat worse next time.
ADELANTE!
Khan
Canelo
Martinez
Pac
Bradley
Berto
Lara
I say yes. Pac and Martinez are fantasy fights. Nobody wants to see an Ortiz rematch. A Berto fight won't generate what a Cotto fight would generate. And Khan will face Peterson in a sloppy rematch. Even if he wins it won't be pretty. Canelo isn't ready yet according to Oscar. What other fight is out there? We' re boxing junkies. We can see Floyd as a clear winner. A lot of casuals booed and disagree with the decision.
A Cotto rematch makes sense. It makes the most money and it was an entertaining fight.
Floyd made a record purse in this fight. He will earn a similar amount in a rematch.
unless cotto trains to be more busier and gets more stamina for the championship rounds, it'll be the same outcome.
and floyd will never fight pac. merchant asked about his stand on the money split and floyd stuttered and went off on a tangent again with his stupid reply about drug testing. lol whats up with that.

I don't want to see it again, at least not immediately.
I wouldn't have a problem with a rematch if it didn't cost me $60 to watch it, but since it will I would rather see Floyd fight someone else for the time being.
I'm sure Max Schmeling thought the same damn thing.
I don't understand why "fans" nowadays brush off fights because of the expected outcome. Just let the guys fight, if Floyd win an even more convincing UD then so be it, but if they feel like doing it again we can only gain from it as fans.

Mayweather has much bigger fights to make. Cotto lost, he lost quite clearly, and Mayweather doesn't fight enough to waste time on a Cotto rematch.
yes we all know its because mayweather is so enthusiastic about pursuing the only 2 other fights that would be competitive with sergio or pac....the way i see it is his only 2 options for a good fight where he would get credit for his wins or loss being that they are the 2 best out there for him to fight...win or lose i would give him more respect for taking those fights...running,ducking and putting up roadblocks doesnt cut it in my book especially if ur road block is still " take the test" when even the commentators for hbo said " thats not the issue anymore " grow some balls mayweather and stfu up and fight already. the more he talks to dumber he looks

Max Schmeling wasn't suppose to win that fight.........Joe was using Max as a tune-up for an eventual title shot. That was considered an upset. When it's an upset, even if the fight wasn't that close, there's always a better chance to get a rematch, because the expected otucome didn't happen. With Floyd and Cotto, Floyd won handily by a wide UD, and he was expected to. No need for a rematch.
What's the point in a rematch? It will be the same outcome.

No. Cotto won 2-3 rounds, 4 at the very most. Why rematch if the fight wasn't close???
And if he does indeed fight again in December this year, which is a big if, he should fight Andre Berto, if he beats Ortiz.
Oscar said Alvarez isn't happening, Pac probably isn't happening, Sergio isn't happening and seems set to fight in October, Khan needs a fight at WW first, who else???
Berto, if he beats Ortiz, would be a good fight. It'd be another Top ranked WW for Floyd to add on his resume, which isn't bad.
