Ariza worked Corrales strength and conditioning, But Corrales problem was he had a cutman as a trainer and his step father stopped the fight, Corralels was waiting for Mayweather to punch himself out and tire before letting his hands go, Corrales had done that to Castilo. The same thing Corrales wanted to do but his father stopped it and Gary Shaw was involved in giving bribes.
He was waiting for Floyd to punch himself out? Wow. You know out of all the strategies that supposedly exist to beat Floyd, that one is beyond a shadow of a doubt the most ridiculous one I've ever heard of.
he wanted floyd to punch himself out?lol---
well, what do you know? maybe he did, but first floyd had to stop punching chico out before punching himself out-lol
maybe, floyd should have punched himself...it would have given diego his 1st winning round against him...i always knew about arizia training chico's strength and conditioning for that fight..and miguel diaz working the corner of chico----for the one who said he had a cutman in his corner, chico that is, well, the diaz brothers, especially at the time, were some of the most knowledgable trainers in modern boxing---diaz being a cutman was no excuse...chico paid him 5% of his purse to have him in his corner instead of floyd's...diaz worked every mayweather fight prior to that fight...and he gave a lot of input to floyd a lot of his fights(he knew floyd, and knew what punches to tell chico to throw at floyd(he has a neek already in diaz's famous accent-lol--for those who recall that after the 1st round in the corner of chico's, and floyd did have a nick on his face under his eye after that round)---ariza was young and still learning the ropes, but his facial expressions in between rounds were priceless...God bless chico--we was a worrior..but floyd was in another leaugue even then--he put everything together at a very young age--this is not shocking to see him where he is today--not shocking to me at all....
floyd just put on a clinic and broke one of his 1st compubox records ever....

Don't recall Corrales ever waiting for any fighter to punch themselves out and I've watched plenty of his fights. Freitas and Robert Garcia punched themselves out but it's not like Corrales waited for that. Corrales never did that to Castillo as both were going tit for tat from the getgo, until JLC eventually took over and Corrales shockingly managed to stop him.
I'm watching HBO Classic: Mayweather Vs Corrales and I noticed Alex Ariza in the corner for Diego Corrrales .... How come I never known this?

I just noticed that last night as well. Must have been a horrible night for him.
was that the fight where Mayweather said he would beat up Corrales for all the battered women since Diego was about to go away?
and if so, Mayweather should've stuck to his guns about that stance.
to be clear though PBF>Pac, so I'm not bashing my man

He was only 23 or 24 years old fresh out of college when he trained Corrales, he still looks the same only know he put on like 25 extra pounds he was skinnier back then.
I'm watching HBO Classic: Mayweather Vs Corrales and I noticed Alex Ariza in the corner for Diego Corrrales .... How come I never known this?Because he was a silent character like the majority of strength trainers, until HBO 24/7 decided to give him air time and his head got big, just like with Roach he was always low key until 24/7 blew their ego's and heads out of the water.
