I just finished watching Hopkins vs Dawson II and I was surprised at how absolutely one sided the fight was. I scored every single round for Chad Dawson. I repeat: I gave him all 12 rounds.
The only 2 rounds which were close were rounds 7 and 9 in my opinion.
Dawson put on a masterpiece, he was too big, too slick, too strong, too good, too young for Hopkins. He outpunched him, outmuscled him and outboxed him. I loved watching this fight cause it was a masterpiece. I dont need to see a brutal knockout, I prefer slick boxing and Dawson did it.
It's basically impossible to knock Hopkins out cause Hopkins is too defensive, too dirty and too experienced to get knocked out by anyone.
The 114:114 scorecard by that judge was a disgrace. Reminded me of the disgraceful split decision win of Calzaghe vs Hopkins cause no way was that a split decision. (in reality it was a UD victory for Calzaghe)
What were your scorecards for Dawson vs Hopkins II:
Vote on the poll: How many rounds did you give Hopkins in this fight?
Damn, I messed up the poll. Can a mod add "0 rounds" please?
If it doesnt work, all those who think Hopkins won zero rounds, should just vote "1 round".
hopkins won 5-6. haters giving him no credit for landing many accurate right hands that busted chad up pretty bad. not nearly as many head butts as these chumps are crying so bad about. boo fvcking hoo. chad won because he was strong wont be surprised at all if dawson shows noticeable damage from this fight in the future..
you dont know **** and are a hopkins hater, same with most of the scrubs on this site. from the 14 who voted for more than 6+ rounds it tells you a lot, chad didn't beat anyone last night. he continued to show his mental weakness by being too scared to let his hands go, prolly discouraged from missing so much though. i had it 115-113 hopkins
Dawson mental weakness continues to show up I made excuses for him in the Pascal fight can't do it no more I'm off the Dawson bandwagon you can have all the talent/skills in the world but if you don't put it together in the ring none of that means sh*t now I see why people were so frustrated with him in the past
Dawson didn't do anything impressive at all last night, but he still won 10 of the 12 pretty easily.
Its not possible to look more impressive against Hopkins that Dawson looked. If a guy headbutts and holds all the time, you cant get him out of there. Dawson looked excellent considering the fact he was in the ring with such a crafty, slick legend like Hopkins
Weird in your "sarcasm" you gave "Popkins" the 11th but now you're saying you actually did give him the 11th.
So you were you weren't being sarcastic?
:lol1: :lol1:
I wasn't being serious at all about the stuff I was posting last night. I knew Hopkins was going to lose, he knew it too but the guy is a legend. Like him or not, he has provided the fans with tons of great action over the years and to see him finally reach the end o the road is a sad thing.
My sarcasm was saying that Hopkins was putting a beating on Chad and winning nearly every round. I had my own scorecard that I was using as the fight went on but it wasn't pretty for Bernard. I have to say that although Chad won convincingly, the fight was pretty close.....the rounds were close but Chad just did more than Popkins did. If Hopkins were 5 years younger, he could have won that fight.
I knew I would get some people's feathers ruffled up with my commentary (next time, I'll put a disclaimer advising readers of my impending sarcastic commentary)
I got hit with red K from several upstanding posters because of my trickery.....Popkins must be a hated man around these parts. :boxing:
9-3 and that is being very generous to B-Hop because those Rounds I gave to him, Dawson probably took those rounds off and B-Hop would grab Dawson around his Hip and get in a few shots

I gave him the 1st, 3rd, 9th, and 11th rounds but most of the rest were fairly close. Hopkins just couldn't get the punches off and wasn't active enough.
That said, I think it should have been a UD for POPKINS just because of who he is.(this part is for IronDanHamza above)

I scored it 114-114 a Draw this fight reminded me of the Calzaghe fight Lampley missed majority of B-Hop's clean effective punches and was calling shots for Dawson that B-Hop clearly blocked and like Calzaghe Dawson won the fight based on his activity level
Yeah, Bernard's age is noticable now.
That's why Pascal was perfect for him, a guy who works in spurts and get's tired. Bernard let Pascal tire himself and then took over, by the middle of the fight he was dominant.
Chad on the other hand doesn't tire, he won the fight with activity. He didn't really have to dip into anything else.
Chad DOES tire. It's been the plague of his career and he was visibly fatigued last night. Difference is, hopkins was tired too.

people can be brainwashed easy......this fight was a DRAW or Hopkins win by 1 point! chad had to TAKE the belt which he DIDN'T! Hopkins made the fight slow and boring which is what he wants, to control the fight. chad hardly landed any punches but the ones Hopkins threw he did land but nothing was said during the commentating...what they want to do is blackball Hopkins out of boxing for bussiness reasons...its not fair. You must respect this man for his accomplishments. chad should be ashamed of himself for not taking control of the fight from a 47 year old man! Andre Ward will defeat chad.
Don't get me wrong, I'm giving Chad credit for a 'W', but that wasn't the Hopkins who fought Tarver; that old, ageless wonder. He's only human, and I think his output and legs are suffering. Yeah, I remember the tackle; he's still a crafty fighter- he had no intentions of getting legally knocked down.
